Running our Own Pin Board at Magic Kingdom - Come Trade With Us!

We had a blast bringing our pin boards over to Magic Kingdom, Frontierland, to do some pin trading with other guests in the park! We did a ton of great trades, and made some pin friends! We even brought a smaller page for kids / people who didn’t have a lot of pins for trading. It was so much fun!

Going on a Disney Cruise and trying to get people trading. I love the idea of having a smalls book to trade for anything especially bc I hate telling kids no. This is a great way to have something for everyone!

Be prepared to loose some pins in the process... Some of the kids are so cute and genuine that you'll end up trading away your limited editions for some fake garbage ebay pin of theirs sooner or later

Pre Covid there were a whole bunch of people who did this daily at Epcot. Several hardcore collectors would bring in books and boards full of pins and set up on tables benches and ledges. It was a lot of fun and since many of us had extensive collections we had little trouble finding pins we were looking for. For reference, when I did it I usually brought 3 to 5 books that were each several times the size of yours... and I was around average. I was thinking of trying to start it up again, probably at Animal Kingdom because the park is relaxed and isn't under construction. The numbers you got is definitely encouraging. Don't get too excited, even if I started doing it tomorrow it would take several weeks/months of consistently showing up to get anywhere close to the crowd we used to have.

We have started to notice people setting up in the parks periodically! Theres consistently been other pin traders set up in Sid's at the front of the park in hollywood studios!

My wife and I were at Magic Kingdom on 1/2/23. I bought about 5 pins that I liked, including a couple of limited edition ones. I love that ya'll have a selection for hardcore traders and a selection for casual traders. I would feel comfortable trading with ya'll!

Magic Kingdom is amazing but always an anxiety driven park for me 😅 Quick question, what do you do when you see a kid with only scrapper or fake pins? I’ve heard some parents buy lots from ebay and kids are left with scrapper and fake pins to trade unknowingly. Do you have a separate book for that occasion with scrappers or do you still trade authentic pins but just lower end? Adults, I can say no to because I feel like they know when they purchase cheap lots but not necessarily the kids. I want to trade with more people at the park but it always hinders me because I wouldn’t know what to do in that situation 😅😭

I used to trade about 10 years ago i always had a separate smaller book or less valuable traders and will let anyone just trade from it when they would bring their fake pins since most of the time kids just want to trade at the end of the week i would sit through my book and pick out the fakes and toss them. Of course I'm over here sitting on 4 binders full of no LE pins. If your someone with a smaller collection i would just have a 2nd smaller book with real and fake pins and let those with fakes pins just trade out of it and let it be your scrapper book
