Brings back great memories of my youth. I pushed the pedal so many times for my dad bleeding brakes years ago. I’ve done most of that work to a bunch of vw’s of various forms in my younger days. Learned to drive in a pass through 23 window bus when I was 14 at the airport. Lol. Enjoying the series. Good to see you guys doing things right! Thanks for sharing.

I *think* you put the brakes backing plates upside down/left to right, because the cylinder should be on top for bleeding.
@DominicChineas Жыл бұрын
Just incase anybody else is reading this, they are on the correct way! Thanks for the concern though
@shaunsheep8252 Жыл бұрын
Ovals had the adjusters on the top, 58 and up on the bottom, essentially the same design but flipped. You can actually put the the other way (cylinders on top) it won’t be factory original but to do that you have to swap the backing plates left to right so that the handbrake cable would still work. But in this case Dom and John have it correct.
@georgeskrompecher3036 Жыл бұрын
I stand corrected. Good to be sure.
