Awww thanks, I try to stay marathon fit so that I don't have to train for a marathon 😜🤣 Marathon training seems so time consuming but running one every few weeks seems far less complicated to my brain 🙃😂

This is amazing Nicola. I take so much of my inspiration from your outlook on life. I have had a hard few years and getting fitter, starting parkrun and building myself a body that can do anything I ask of it has changed everything for me. Maybe one day I’ll be able to casually do a marathon after parkrun! But more than all that the absolute zest for life and the world and the beauty it offers is so palpable in your videos. Reminds me to get out there into nature and to enjoy the life we’ve been given, and give my body everything it needs to keep doing that for as long as possible. A long winded and mildly soppy way of saying: you’re awesome!! Keep it going. I hope one day I can raise a child with as much joy and love for life as you’ve given Poppy.

Pretty impressive Nicola. There was a point where I could sort of just jump into a full marathon like that in my running career but I am no longer on that level of fitness. I have no idea how you would run a 10KM race the next morning as well after doing what you did. I remember after most of my marathons I was lucky to make it down a set of stairs without using the railing. The course you ran also looked familiar. I think you've run it before? Also as far as the white hands / Reynauds syndrome, I usually keep a pair of thin gloves around and have them available after a race or even during a race. I have the same problem and they really help. I'll run in the dead of winter with shorts / t-shirt but never without my trusty gloves.

Yup! I'm like this but I use mittens, I'd left them in the van though 🤦🏻‍♀️ Silly me! Yes well spotted! I've run a marathon there before 😃 I think you just get used to running the next day after you've done multi day stuff 🙃

So what's this madness a knockout ultra marathon race. Well Yorkshire folk are a funny lot. I see this episode includes all the Nicola characters; The perennial Princess of Parkrun. Obviously the week I was not there but it was a much abridged segment and you were not chatting so no great loss then. Then Little Miss Marathon endlessly chatting to the camera complaining about enjoying life and honestly doing way too much fun stuff. Intermittently stopping to admire the beauty of nature, show the breath taking views and struggle to convey the joy through a beaming smile. Then Aunty Ultra trying to convince us (herself) that the big kids made her do the extra lap, knowing full well it was always going to happen. You couldn't help yourself, even though we can hear your voice fading. Ok, it's still a fabulous effort which deserves admiration. Now the press-ups was taking it a little too far. I'd heard about the Temple Newsam running track on the news; great community project, hope it goes well. Now I've a small issue, after the last video I've somehow ended up the night before the Manchester Half with a massage gun in my bag. Lidl had one for £15 so as the seed had been planted of course I bought it. Next I'll be running ruddy marathons, damn you online influencers....
