Thank you for sharing this documentary in full. Gerry, my father, did just as he promised, and raised both of his children as best he could. We have had a great life, and while there’s no compensating for the justice done, remember, “our revenge will be the laughter of our children” ❤

Your dad's story is such a powerful one. I am so very humbled to have it now within the archive for the world to see just what they endured - what you all endured... Perhaps look at this as a form of justice - the bastards thought they could get away with the lies told and now they are a laughing stock to the world. Let this be a lesson to all the dirty cops - the truth will always come out and history will judge your actions just like in this instance.

There wete many miscarraiges of justice regarding the troubles. This presentation offers a great insight into the many innocent victims and their families who suffered. We can all have regrets for what could have been, if it were not taken from us. Ironically as Gerry said at his wedding 'Thats the best goal Ive ever scored".God bless you Gerry and your family

No one will ever fully understand the pain so many suffered in N.Ireland, i was a teen in Derry when the conflict started, out teen years where far from normal, the people in Derry are the strongest kindest people you will ever meet, the peace today may not be perfect but my god way better than the 30 year nightmare.

What those horrible British authorities inflicted on innocent people makes my gut wrench. Gerry was like a god at killarney celtic. I remember watching him as a kid, thinking, where did this guy come out of? An incredible player and so well loved and respected by everyone that knows him in killarney

Very heartbreaking I was on a bus 1969 crossing into Donegal a nasty Scottish shoulder came on the bus and picked me to get off the bus because of some piece of luggage i had once the saw my American Passport I was put back on the bus. That is the wonderful British Justice.

This reminds me of nothing so much as the way that Israel treats the Palistinians who are guilty or not all "Hamas". The thing that brings this to mind is the threats to rape and kill members of the victims family. Knowing this, and knowing how they said " you will know we did it ,but you will never prove it", it is COMPLETELY understandable that Gerry falsely confessed... While I may love some things about the UK, England owes a HUGE debt to the people of Ireland, and of Palestine too😢🍉😢🇮🇪😢🇵🇸😢☘️😢

British justice, What a fcking joke, they ruined this good blokes life, and for what???????
@edwardodonnell68573 ай бұрын
I believe Gerry if guilty he would have no reason to tell his story.It was a dirty war the first casualty of war is innocence.I don’t know the full circumstances of the case he just doesn’t strike me as a killer.There where innocent victims on all sides miscarriages of justice do happen if anyone fell into the hands of any paramilitary group there was no trial by law.That’s the dilemma legitimate police men should always adhere to the law should never be tempted to frame someone for lack of evidence it goes against everything the majority of them defend represent law and order.
