I worked at TC Electronic for 17 years. It was actually my job to test and ship the 6032 and 1128 units. Just putting the topplate on that 6032 could take up to an hour because the holes in the top plate wouldn't line up with the holes in the chassis. So I couldn't get the screws in. And then the faders would sometimes rub against the top plate. I was quite time consuming getting them ready for the customer. And nice seing that the 6032 in the video is the Clair Brothers version. They had their own top plates with their own logo on them. And as I remember they needed special eproms in the 1128s because they needed 15 db cut and boosts. The rest of the world only got 12 db. And it was the same lady in the production that always soldered the special 7 pin cable that fed the 6032. Her name was Gudrun. If you turn the 6032 over and look for the initials KAP near or on the serialnumber label, I shipped it. :-) TC was a nice place to work. Pre-Uli.

Great to listen to Wayne and a great too to hear someone pick up on a mantra that I try to get over to engineers I work with and my clients, that you have to look for the weak point in the chain, you have to know hat has the potential to bite you in the bum and take the gig away from you. I see a lot of guys falling into the mentality of that if a piece of kit doesn't have a network connector and a laptop attached to it then it has no value for todays engineers. Wayne demonstrates it's good thinking not to discredit the old

See my question would be since he has only 9 channels of eq engaged. What microphones he is using on the kit and does he have all microphone placement measured. Physically on stage. Mic/stand to source. Marked distance. That’s choice gear.

Do you mean the 2290? It's digital. But in a send return setup his signal is still analog. The effect added by the 2290 is digital though.

@@karstenpe Exactly, assuming he uses the processing every show, all that is analog superiority nonsense is immediately out the window after the first piece of outboard gear anyway.

@@djjazzyjeff1232 No. The 2290 isn't inserted. Its in a send return setup. So his signal chain is completely analog until it hits the PA systems speaker processor. For him (I guess) its about keeping the signal chain analog for as long as he can. Analog is about more than not wanting to go digital. Each circuit adds to the analog sound. That being said. All my desks for live sound are digital, and I love them. For me the pro's outway the con's.

Analog is just too unreliable, the dude said himself he spends a large amount of time on his hands and knees under that desk replaces bad components, and he said it like it was endearing or something, no that shit's insane is what it is in my opinion. It DOESN'T sound better either, also in my opinion.
