I did it in 2019 and this time too. The crowds were SO INCREDIBLE THIS YEAR! Didn’t think it could get much better than 2019, but despite the weather being gnarly, the crowds were just AMAZING!!! Was about to quit at around 37k and they started calling my name and I somehow made it to the end! Still not sure how, and I got a PB 🤷‍♂️👌🏃💪

Fantastic job Ben! Congratulations. And oh my god, what are the odds of this. I just ran Boston last week. I used your Advanced Marathon Training Plan for the second time to train for it. My finish time on my watch was EXACTLY the same as yours at 2:43:10, and my official time for Boston was EXACTLY the same as yours for London at 2:43:07!! What are the odds of that!

Ben, I found it so difficult to watch this and not cry!! What great footage you got. I completed the London Marathon for the first time and oh my, it did not disappoint. I’d only ever ran a 5km race before doing the marathon and I wasn’t able to train as much as I would have liked to due to injury. But was so pleased to get a time of 4 hours 1 minute despite this (I didn’t take into consideration the extra distance I would end up doing on the day to get around people, and high five the crowd, when planning my pacing. So close to that sub 4). As a running and marathon novice, I attribute my whole food plant based diet to my success on the day and my great recovery. I’ve been back on the netball court and back at CrossFit this week despite pushing my body to its limits on Sunday. Thank you for all your content, it was invaluable in helping me to prepare for the big day. And thank you for being such a great advocate for veganism #plantpower!!!

Hi Ben , this was my first marathon ever and I am 62 years old male with a background of having suffered from a mini stroke and also had a right knee key hole surgery. Hi Ben, you are an absolute legend. I ran in the London Marathon as well on Sunday. It is almost impossible to describe the noise all along the street - I felt over whelmed at stages. It was just an amazing experience. Cramps got to my right calf and caused all sorts of issues for me. I could only run / walk from mile 16. Reflecting back, it may have been due to leg strength, hydration, number of runners affecting my natural stride length etc. All of which I am looking to put right for the next marathon. I will also look to use your training plan. Thank you for doing what you do. It is helping so many people.

Well done on your results! I can only dream of running an entire marathon at 3:48 min/km. My parkrun PB is at 19:45 and that was challenging! I've tried 3 times in the past to enter the London marathon and every time I never made it. Gave up the year of lockdown and I saw the email from the organisers saying to enter the ballot again for next year's. Looking forward to your content on the Comrades marathon. It is brutal! The amount of support along the route is amazing - from water stations to supporters to food, drinks, medic, music... I hope your SA fans won't keep you on your feet for too long. You'll need all the rest you can get.

Thanks Ben & Sarah for your 15 week training plan, PB's twice 🙂. Last Oct trained for Kosice in Slovakia 03:30:00 and ran 3:17:30 and London Marathon aimed 3:15:00 which I thought I would be pushing it and did 3:13:43 Whoop! Whoop! I'm over the Moon, I listened to my body and rested when needed, missed a few days and swapped days depending on work and races (X-country helped alot Hahaha) Now running sub20 for 10km 🙂Next Marathon Sept and hoping to get in the top 3 for M60, my new age cat next month. London was Fantastic and look forward to toeing the line once more. Well done to you both and Happy Running 🙂
