Icon trait is a real thing, you can have a bad Icon but they can just do weird things that other cards can't do, massive DDA boost. They can also stack Icon traits, more Icons in the team can rub of on normal cards, EA want Icon teams to win more so playing a team with multiple Icons means you will be handicapped. I think 'Walkout/Promo Card Counter' is a thing as well, more research on data available needed for proof of concept but I'll just say, try to avoid opening objectives or sbc with walkouts until after you open your packs.

My worst take was investing 1 mil on Jadon Sancho OTW when he costed 180k expecting him to raise. That season Man UTD played so terribly Sancho didn’t get a single upgrade. Lost about 800k trying to hold out hope

Piece of advice. Only invest in otw card if they are 82 or lower. These are the cards that will cost 20-30k but if they get 2 upgrades they go to 87 where they will be minimum 100k. And if they dont upgrade, they can only go down to minimum, which is a 10k loss only. Good ROI
