Not even my defenders with intercept plus do this, it makes it even harder to build from the back without just running down the line

With Nick it's more of a mindset issue than a skill issue, he knows how bad this game and what bullshit it takes to be successful in it but he refuses to play this way, than gets angry and disappointed, rightly so, but if you are in a bad state of mind while playing you will get battered by those that are just more shameless than you. I don't even want to imagine how hard it must be not to lose your mind if you have to play this pile of garbage game and the whole chat is writing, cooked, sold and you are finished/washed the whole time. Just switch to old gen, it's so much more enjoyable. Loved playing the game for the first time last weekend. SO much less AI pressing, more space through the middle. Narrow works perfectly fine there. Nextgen 4/10 game (feels so repetetive), 8/10 oldgen. Please give it a try.

The opponents are probably worse overall aswell, but I feel like at least the broken mechanics don't feel as OP on oldgen. Like I get cooked down the wing and conceded 1-2 Goals every game with cutbacks but now I feel way less vulnerable. + Way less animations mean less glitchy bouncebacks, running through players and so on. 50 games on oldgen and maybe 5 games where I felt like I had nothing going for me when I feel like literally every game on nextgen stupid shit happens on both sides. Hopefully it stays this way for me because I actually played for the 8 rivals wins yesterday and enjoyed it so much that I had to force myself to stop lol. Shit had me feel like I was young again playing FIFA 13 for 5 hours a day lol

​@@warrenpryer8036yeah it feels completely different. On nextgen my narrow that I used for years was killed by AI 71 depth and slow ballcontrolls and turning in general. But oldgen it feels godlike. I feel like I scored 3 different goals on nextgen over and over again with 2-3 ways to build up my attack and on oldgen I didn't even have to switch sides with my fullbacks because the AI isn't pressing you to death. Sounds weird but the pitch just feels bigger. Better attacking AI, I can actually use my midfielders (on nextgen my DM was never an option to pass to, opponent often just stands in Front of him when building up). I actually felt the same way last FIFA aswell. I switched to oldgen after 3 weeks aswell and never looked back and enjoyed playing the game for the whole year pretty much. Also not overloading my attacking players with instructions this year helped me a lot.

I realized with 4321, your wingers are too much on the inside, marked, making them no good passing options. Try with high attacking width, somewhere around 80 and see the difference.

The issue is the press breaking the attacking ai, no matter what you do, 80 width means you playing down the line and cutting back even more which is why you seeing the difference. Nick is trying to play down the middle, it's his playstyle to have fun, I know what it feels like, I love playing down the middle with one touch ball, but there's simply no movement from my attacking players.

He's right. The 4321 is too narrow and your forwards + midfielders get clumped up. I switched to something with wingers stay wide and cut in the final third and the there is 3x more space for me to play, makes the game so much easier attacking-wise.

I couldn't play through the middle until I adjusted my camera. The default Coop angle is not good with how precise you have to be with passing this year. You need to increase the Far Side Focus so you can see the space better in the middle.

4:12 'that's such a mid team'. Tactics have such a big role in this new game that any average 1 week old gold team can be good, if the player knows how to exploit the tactics. I'm on DIV4, with a fairly decent team, and it's not being easy to get 7 wins. But why? I choose to play 442, 55 depth, without any instructions except stay back for one of my CMs. I don't use nothing crazy like forward runs or above 71 depth. I don't want too much stress. On WL I get my 11 wins and logout. They have to fix this broken tactics mechanics asap.
