I still remember when this episode was telecasted on TV!! पूजा जी , आपने सही कहा है कि माता पिता भी दहेज देकर लड़के वालों को बढ़ावा देते हैं । क्योंकि लड़कियाँ पहले के मुकाबले में अब ज़्यादा पढ़ी लिखी और जागरूक हैं इसलिए अब उनको भी खुलकर बोलना चाहिए कि वे ऐसे परिवार में और लड़के से शादी नहीं करेंगी जो दहेज की मांग करेगा । मेरी शादी 35 वर्ष पहले हुई थी और मैंने अपने माता पिता से पहले ही दहेज न लेने की शर्त लगा दी थी । ससुराल वालों से भी कह दिया था कि दहेज में कृपया आप कोई सामान भी न दें। मेरे 2 बच्चे हैं और दोनों बेटियां हैं । नवम्बर 2016 में मेरी बड़ी बेटी की शादी एक वेब पोर्टल से तय हुई । बेटी ने ही अपनी प्रोफाइल पोस्ट की थी और उसमें उसने स्पष्ट लिख दिया था NO DOWRY . उसने यह भी लिखा था -- धर्म और जाति का कोई बंधन नहीं ।आश्चर्य और खुशी मुझे इस बात की हुई कि यह जानते हुए भी कि दहेज नहीं मिलेगा , 15 दिनों के भीतर 40 लड़कों ने उसे रिक्वेस्ट भेजी। उन्हीं में से एक लड़के से उसकी शादी हुई । सुखद यह भी रहा कि लड़के के माँ बाप ने दहेज या कोई सामान लेने का ज़िक्र तक नहीं किया। इसलिए मैंने लिखा था कि जब तक लड़कियां नहीं कहेंगी ," ऐसे साजन की मुझे ज़रूरत नहीं ", दहेज प्रथा चलती रहेगी ।
