thx for the rawview pierre! about the referencing culture in fashion: i think it's just how naturally the referencing/creative process works. if you look it up, people have been pulling up references from old fashion trends (which nowdays are seem like important "cultural" garments, like a kimono or a sombrero, for example) wayyyy back. also, considering how branding is so necessary nowdays if you wanna successfully "sell" your drag on the show, i think being a bit nationalism/proud of your culture goes a long way, because people that are from the same country/culture as you will start rooting for you

Nina on one of your videos I remember you wondering why men had to wear hats and them take them off inside and I just so happened to watch another video that touched on the topic, apparently it came from back when soot from chimneys were a much bigger problem since hair washing wasnt so prevalent in the 1800s to the 1900s and it started as a way to keep your hair clean from soot, and then you could safely take off your hats when inside where you could keep your hair clean.
