I disagree with the season 3 curse for France. The looks weren’t great, but I disagree that Leona was robbed. I didn’t expect her to even be in the top. And I’m excited to see where the phone goes. I’m enjoying the girls and the season! The only problem I had was Magnetica’s confusing bottom placement, but maybe her vocals were worse in person than what they showed us.

I kind of hope next week's winners are Roxxxy and Angeria so we can get an epic level lip sync. Two pageant queens who've been going back and forth with the ruby snippers? Imagine the shenanigans that could ensue. Shannel could be given the Rita Baga treatment and get typecast into a role that's tailored specifically for her. I really just want to see her lip sync at some point. Maybe Nina can join her while wearing that Christmas outfit. I'm just choosing chaos at this point. I'm in my chaotic era for sure.

The badges only mean qualifying for the final lip sync. If I was competing I would keep good lip syncers low in badges and give badges to people I thought I could beat in a lip sync. The idea of just snipping whoever has the most badges seems like an unthought out strategy to me. And makes the front runners (who often get the snippers) more likely to cut you back. Hence the drama between roxxxy and Angie. Anyone see this too?

Roxxxy is making Angeria her Jinkx this season. However, to me these are the solid Top 2, because Plastique doesn't learn the words, Vanjie and Jorgeous are hit and miss, Nina and GottMik can't dance and Shannel is winning no badges.

Honestly I don't really get the DR France take. For the phone twist, I like 100% more what they did than a "oh we bring a girl back". First because it's very predictable, second because it doesn't exactly make sense (like why this queen specifically) and third they already did it in season 2 but in a much better way. I feel like this episode is just an introduction of the twist, which is why it's not very spectacular. I really hope that the judging gets better tho, last week was disastrous and the tops/safe were confusing this week (the Norma robbery??)

Weird take on France. Its clear that the phone twist means that some of the challenges are going to more difficult and can make the tops/bottoms swap round from what we initially expect. Leona was safe this week for me and otherwise I agreed with the placements. I'm really not seeing this "Season 3 curse" - I think you expect to see it and so you're judging more harshly to fit the narrative AS9, this should have been Jorgeous' win, her runway was her best I've seen from her, set was top of the night.. Plastique was funny (everyone was, tbh) but: 1) she decided to do a character but didn't carry it through apart from one line to say she was at the wrong convention, 2) I didn't actually love her runway, and 3) there were other Queens like Angie and Shannel who did better than her in the roast. It felt like she's graded on a curve because the judges don't expect her to be funny. Also, 2nd week not knowing the words and this time just flat out pointing to the other Queen? Mmmmm. As for Mik, there's always "stolen" jokes on drag race, I'm not bothered by this. Other Queens hire writers too, you still need to master the delivery

Jokes are actually not intellectual property! You really can’t be sued for using another person’s comedy sets, and rarely can you even make a case against comedy theft unless the joke is copied verbatim, the joke has a clear origin/highly distinguished, and the joke made the accused party some sort of significant monetary compensation which is very difficult to prove in a court of law. because you cannot copyright short phrases most of the time, I think it’s disappointing that she used the joke structures but honestly she didn’t win so I’m not too pressed, I’m more disappointed that Mik just didn’t do better in general. I haven’t felt a type of way about other girls using ppl’s jokes in the past if they make sense but I def understand the perspective of being annoyed/disappointed by it

@@xviolaa I get that they’re not giving it a lot of time. For starter, it’s hard for YTbers to review DR France as the network is brutal to them with their copyright strikes. So there’s that. Also, Mera has mentioned that it hasn’t been too good on the algorithm (which includes the length of the videos…ie keeping them under the hour mark), so I get that too…but they usually at least go through the runway quickly, even if it’s a few queens at the time. Considering this was a ball, one would think they would have at least spend 3-5 min on the runways. Like I think they spent more time on the YT thanks. On a video of over 47 min, DR France is just under 5 min…I feel like there’s scaling down and scaling down…let’s just say that I feel it warrants at least 7-8 min…or don’t spend half of the mere 5 min talking about Leona! But again, just my personal opinion…

I think jorgeous wasnt feeling it during the lip sync/snip section is because, well being fully transparent the entire episode revolved around her, she objectively was one of the best in the challenge, she clearly did the best as far as ru's reaction went, she had one of if not the very best runway of the night, and then she wasnt top 2? I was not a jorgeous stan prior to this season but she was just blatantly robbed of a win when even the edit was making us root for her to get it....

I really hope Mera mangle sees my comment and helps put this idea out there but I was thinking of how non elimination seasons like this one have little to no stakes in the competition and the judges basically give out nothing but compliments on these seasons SO my idea is: I would love it if the judges ranked each queen in order of who did worst to the best. And they could adopt the key shtick from big brother cuz big brother doesn’t use keys anymore for determining who is nominated. Like to be more specific I think the judges should announce who came in last place- then that queen has to turn a key in some little block, and then the second last queen is revealed, and then she turns a key and so on and so forth until it gets more hyped around who the top is.

Hei fra Norge! When I saw your T-shirt ,Mera, I had to laugh. In Swedish and Danish ,'slut' means 'the end'. It can be used in compound words like 'slutstation' which means end station or end of the line. Norwegian has the same word but we write it wth two t's ( NOT Elliott!!) -slutt- Did anyone notice Gottmik's attitude during 'Unticked'? She was not herself and looked as though she wanted to throw in the towel and leave. I hope she continues and is OK.

Naysha Lopez talked about Plastiques lip sync and said that plastique did sing the words to the female part and pointed to Angeria anytime the man was speaking. Honestly I didn't catch it when I watched it live but it tracks.

That’s exactly what happens. Plastique didn’t know the rap part, otherwise she lipsynced the whole thing. Still an auto-loss but not as bad as people make it out to be.

not to defend mik, but several queens who have been on all stars have publicly said that they hired other queens (ex. jackie beat) to write jokes for them. and if i’m not mistaken, darienne lake has also said that she wrote jokes for other queens as well. mik’s choice of words felt definitely off tho lol

Even if the queens hire someone to write their jokes for them it’s still the queens responsibility to make sure the jokes are not stolen from another comedian b4 presenting them as their own!!! There is absolutely no excuse for stealing!!!!!

I will spam this under every video that mentions Ru's words that this was the first roast where no one bombed: Celebrity Drag Race S1's roast remains the best one they've EVER done, and the only thing that could've made it even better is if they hadn't cut Bob's and Kim's sets too short. Even Nina's! I know it wasn't on the main series, but it pains me no one remembers the best roast they've done in the history of the franchise

The contestants this season seem to have far more knowledge of ‘what challenges are happening when’ and just seem to be more omniscient and prepared than ever about what to deliver. Sorry y’all plastique was just too funny and for her to be so reliant on her cards the whole time really hammered this home. (On top of them knowing who to block based on the next week’s challenge). It was still hilarious but having other people give you or write your material for you or make all your dresses for you is kinda meh. Then again what else to expect from 9 all stars seasons..I digress.

Nobody seemed to get the joke in the lip sync. Plastique stopped singing and started pointing at Angeria during the MAN'S part of the song. It's basically Plastique saying "that's a man". Sure it didn't necessarily won, but I thought it was hilarious.

I'm done with these non elimination seasons, the format should be exclusive to winners, AS7 was Excellent and you could see the queens put effort in it, AS9 feels lazy af, stealing jokes, underwhelming lipsyncs (not knowing the lyrics c'mon now). It is frustrating cause the cast is great.

I know that not all the queens write there jokes BUT they do pay comedians/comedy-queens to write the jokes for them. They don't steal them! (first heard this from William who has written jokes for other queens in the past)
