+Nemhyz Pearl got to the top 3 because she was the "underdog". She was closed off and "in her shell" in the beginning, which is intriguing for the viewers; they want to get to know the person. Then, she had the dramatic moment with Ru which was immediately followed by her great performance in the DESPY awards episode. This makes viewers like her because she was misunderstood and abrasive at first, but redeemed herself and overcame her personal obstacles. You can say the same for Violet Chachki, who struggled to get along with anybody at the beginning. She also became an underdog at this point, being that she was so talented in the fashion/dance/confidence areas, but had no friends. She would say things that could be considered rude or offensive to the others, but when confronted about it, would apologize. She also showed that she is a nice, caring person towards the end. It painted a picture of the other girls teaming up on her. This also rings true for Jinkx Monsoon: the sensitive yet talented one who was "bullied" by the other queens. Long story short, viewers always root for the underdog. People love to see characters develop and change, especially if they started out in an unfortunate or misunderstood way. Production companies manipulate television shows to appeal to the viewers.

Ivy's dress was really great and it has that cute quirkiness that Manila is known for, and I did love Roxxy's cool fishnet and jean jacket look, but Lineysha looked so badass. I don't care if she had saloon hair, she looked amazing.

It's not invalid to accept that a queen's look goes with her character. There are queens like Fame who don't have character and just have to have flawless looks, and there are queens like Willam who can just dress like they're going to the mall and their comedy does all the work. Alaska is funny, she's a character, and she's versatile: she can wear a trash bag, a prom dress, or a tattered T-shirt and slay.
