My favourite runway looks were Victoria's and Choriza's, i was shocked that Choriza wasn't in the top as well as Victoria not winning the lip sync but one things for sure I can't wait to see what they will bring to the competition. Really enjoyed this review Matty and have a great day 😀👍🏻👍🏻

I was underwhelmed by Veronica Green, unfortunately. I really want her to do well this season, but I'm worried for her after this episode. I did read that a lot of the girls this season didn't have a lot of money going in, including Veronica, so I'm trying to keep that in mind. I cannot wait to see what else Victoria Scone is going to bring, she's my early fave.

I really enjoyed Charity Kase’s look regarding “favourite things”. I didn’t mind the winner but in my opinion Victoria Scone should have won overall.

I really loved this episode to start with. I do agree though that out of the all 2nd runway categories they've given for the first UK episodes, Season 3's was the weakest sadly. I also thought they should've had a Top 4, a Safe 4, and a Bottom 4 imo. A lot of the judging this week gave very textbook storyline building for Drag Race, having Scarlett in the top while River placing low when both did a "Music" runway + creating that comment from Charity to Scarlett, and setting up the 2 19 yr olds with one winning the challenge and the other sent home, plus adding onto the "Brighton Curse", started with Joe Black, and now Anubis(she was one of my faves off of the MTQs so I was really sad to see her go). As I said on the panel, my personal tops were Charity, Choriza, Victoria, and Vanity. I do agree that Victoria should've won regardless of the lipsync, but I do think Krystal held her own so I'm not ENTIRELY mad that she won, but then again a Top 2 Lipsync creates that sort of incentive I suppose. But I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought Krystal's Hometown look wasn't that impressive, I would've placed her Safe.

Two things Matt - while Victoria is an AFAB Queen she has not broken down barriers - she is actually a easy selection in the UK. The BBC has a history of elevating the careers of Camp white female performers - they get handed TV series really easily. So can women do Drag - yes. Has Victoria had to overcome barriers by working in bars for pennies or free or had to turn to sCx work like the trans performers we see on Drag Race - nope. She is a white AFAB queen and they reign the world of comedy in the UK - they are beloved. So while she has may be the first AFAB queen doing Drag. She is no way in the same category as Landon Cider being a Drag King and Gotmik being a transman. The BBC would be highly uncomfortable with these two AFABs so they just give us a safe whyte lovable pantomine dame - in the syle of Kathey Burke, Mollie Sugden, Su Pollard. Ruth Madoc, Joanna Lumley, a that really tall woman wgo I forget the name of - . And I can tell you when people are heaping praise on her she is not smilling with tears as she has not overcome anything she is a safe bet - is she a great enetrtainer - yes. Do I enjoy her yes . Is she underrepresented in UK TV - nope. The Drag Fandom might be jumping up and down but the UK public is confused and dont care simply because she is what we alerady have see on British TV for decades. She also has not opened doors for AFAB drag queens of colour - when a whyte female opens a door it closes behind them in the UK we will have to find our own way there is zero sisterhood.

Happy belated birthday, Matty! I'm sorry I'm late. I just found out that we actually share the same birthday (September 24), and I just got back home from visiting family in New Mexico. I hope you had an amazing time in San Diego. As far as DRUK goes, I'm so excited to see what is going to happen. The first episode set it up very well. So I hope it stays just as good. Im glad you agree with me about Anubis's first look. I didn't like it very much. But everyone else I've seen all say they love it and think it's great. I just think it swallows her up too much and doesn't look all that great. But I think almost all of us can agree that her second look just wasn't it. Thanks for all the content, Matty! Cheers!

Victoria is a safe choice for the BBC - she fits the profile of women they uplift. I would be more impressed with a transman or a drag King. she also has not open doors for WOC who want to do the same thing. That door closed behind her .

@@luigi57968 afab means assigned female at birth, so gottmik is also afab and therefore the first afab queen to walk in the werkroom. in terms of what they identify as during the competition, if im not mistaken, victoria identifies as a woman so she would be the first cisgender woman to compete, and i believe gottmik was the first trans man. someone correct me if im wrong!

This Episode's Judging Already has me worried for the rest of the Season. Choriza was Amazing but they paid her DUST Which I feel like is gonna happen the rest of the time she's there until they get hid of her for making the tiniest mistake or they'll make up something to send her home, I can already feel it. Victoria Scone did awesome also and I feel like she's gonna make it to the Top or they will bring her back for Season 4 if some of the Rumors I heard about her are True. We will see I guess.
