At the time - I was 19 and living in Pittsburgh in an apartment, and when this would come on MTV my neighbor Danetta would run down the hall and get me to come watch (they had cable). So many good memories, and this song was in the clubs for a good 2 years after. RuPaul can do anything and make it good. He's a born entertainer, and by all reports a really decent human being. I worked in a department store salon ,when this song came out,I remember one of the guys from visuals came into the salon with a flyer, when I looked at it,it was a picture of Ru,from the Supermodel cd,I remember being in awe of the hair,height and skin tone,this was the 1st time I had ever seen or heard about Rupaul. My coworker looked at the flyer ,and I could tell she was conflicted. Anyway later that night,I went to the club to see who this Rupaul was,tiny club in Philly on the floor .Was still outside about to enter,when all of a sudden I see this tall tall human being in a to the sky blonde wig and a short Black patent leather trench coat walking towards the club,it was Ru,and I was mesmerized. So since putting this song on the other night I've put it on every time I do my make up now, kinda helped pull me out of a frumpy mom slump.
