I think Trixie is truly amazing but she needs to brush up on her LGBTQ+ history. In 1978 after the gay community launched her career and she was credited for ushering in the “disco era” with her rendition of “MacArthur Park” Donna Summer suffered a sudden shocking lapse in memory. As she herself stated; “after a prolonged period of ‘spiritual darkness’ I’ve returned to The Lord” (translation; she became a “Born Again Christian.”) While publicly denying any connection with her biggest fan base -the gay community she denounced “their wicked ways.” All the stories would have one believe this was the end of it and when she died the “pearly gates” swung open wide for her by St Peter, vibing to her earlier hit; “Love to Love you Baby” on his SONY Walkman… The true tea is homosexuals around the world performed an early-80’s version of cancelling the “Big D” (we were first at canceling too) dropping La Summer like a hot potato. It was most likely a combo of seeing her career sinking faster than the Titanic AND losing friends and co-workers during the advent of HIV/AIDS that made her rally and regain her senses. I suppose someone at such a tender age as Trixie cannot be expected to know all the gory details surrounding the Donna Summer debacle, or perhaps that’s why she said Summer is “basically” one of us. There’s a difference; people like Cher and Bette Midler never wavered or tried to deny those who majorly helped them along, they’re the true allies. Donna Summer is icon-ish.

Fvck the people that expect that, and long live our capitalist but incredibly generous Barbiegirl, Tritsie Morrell! I’m a Dominican American born and raised in the US and grew up fully fluent in both. For years I taught English as a second language (ESL) in middle school and high school. Sometimes my students would say they felt intimidated or embarrassed when they were out in the community trying to speak English. They’d be worried about being ridiculed for their accents or for misuse/mispronunciation of words. I told them “if someone makes fun of your English just respond ‘and how many languages do you speak?…” My kids were way too shy and non confrontational to ever actually do that but they felt validated by what I said ❤ When Trixie said “imagine if I decided to go be a contestant on drag race Mexico, that must’ve been how you felt in season two” all we want as humans is a little empathy and understanding ❤️

I agree! I think Trixie talked about this on unh one time... a lot of Americans who's family immigrated from other countries speak both English and their native language, a lot of them learn it before they even move to English speaking countries. Many Americans speak English only with a few words of another language (or 3 years in high school) but look down on someone not using english perfectly.

@@PuccioMA yeah me too.. When Ru announced that they gonna judge them individually, I realized that Sapphira was gonna get the win

@@XenonDSLhonestly Q and Plane did good but they were also low key kinda bland. The highlight was the slides and clips. The other jokes were ok. Saphira mostly had presence. When they kept acting like she did bad because she had a moment, I thought she was going to be put in the bottom so they could finally send Mi’ya home. But I think her runway was so good they spared her. Well it was nice to see Morphine send Mi’ya home. It was a good lip sync and that song isn’t at the top of the list of 80s songs I would think of for a lip sync.

I absolutely love Jessica! Realest queen I’ve ever seen! She did a show in Nashville and after she was walking around and said she would take pictures if people went and tipped the local queens which shows so much respect for local queens! Like I couldn’t help but admire her love for the art and her respect for those who aren’t Ru girls! 💙
