I agree with you but for large cap - blue chip funds its better to invest in same category large cap index funds because fund manager doesn’t need to do more brain storming in this to find the best stocks from nifty 100 & expense ratio is also too low for index funds…icici nifty index fund exp ratio is only 0.18% & returns also almost equivalent…but in other categories fund manager brain role is very important for picking the right stocks..
