Rural Japan's LAST Indigo Masters: Aizome, Japanese Indigo Dye - Episode 1

My brother and I travelled to Hirose-Yasugi, a town in Shimane Prefecture in Western Japan. It's the 2nd least populated prefecture in the country. We visited one of the last (if not THE last) indigo dye workshops in this region.
We brought a couple suitcases of Made in Canada t-shirts and hats and got them traditionally hand-dyed with Japanese natural indigo at this special place, Amanokouya Indigo Workshop. Over 3 days, we dyed hats, t-shirts, long-sleeves and learned the entire dyeing process as well as basic Shibori tie dyeing. It was an incredible experience I'll never forget and I'm happy to share it here :)
