The key to managing ADHD, in my view, is not suppression of the energy but rather channeling it in ways that are meaningful and in alignment with the individual's unique path. This means creating environments and routines that cater to the individual's need for variety, stimulation, and freedom, allowing them to express their natural energy without repression. Those with ADHD should embrace their unique energetic signature and use it as a tool for creativity and personal growth, rather than viewing it as a disorder that needs to be fixed. By understanding and integrating their unique energetic flow, individuals with ADHD can thrive by aligning with their true purpose and passions.

@Ben10Arg7 күн бұрын
@magvs_mæstro216 Thanks for the comment! I don't necessarily consider myself or my girlfriend 'high potential individuals' in the way it's often defined in professional settings. While we both have strengths and areas of growth, being 'high potential' typically refers to people showing a lot of promise for future leadership or significant roles. I think we're just individuals navigating life and doing our best to grow and improve in our own ways.

@ Age is just a number. 30 (when you finish the regular course) is still young. I’m 39 and only now graduating, it took forever because I chose a path that I didn’t love. Time is going to pass anyway. Imagine yourself 5 years from now and what your life is going to look like whether you say yes to the challenge and if you say no. Compare. Think, rationalize, try to calculate the costs of both doing it and not doing it; but also feel, allow your intuition to speak to you. You will know in your heart if that’s your path. If it’s just a fear based on your age than it’s just an emotion, it doesn’t mean that because you’re afraid you shouldn’t do it. Do it anyway, your future self is counting on you. Your decision though, best of luck to you whatever you choose, and happy holidays! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

I relate so much, really, I am still like this, because of the mental pressure, guilt, shame and self-doubt, I can't live in reality for most of the part... I was high performing till my teenage, I can't stand to think I am intellectually not enough now, but I can't even spend that much time on work, so it's not like I am intellectually challenged, it's like I can't spend the time to excel at something, and with my life, I believe I am intelligent.

Great content! I found it interesting how the video presents specific and practical strategies to deal with procrastination in the context of ADHD. I especially agree with the importance of prioritizing tasks by considering motivation and energy, as well as creating an optimized environment for focus. The inclusion of L-theanine as a natural option to achieve a calm-alert state was an innovative and useful point. These tips go beyond generic advice and truly address the specific challenges faced by those living with ADHD. Thank you for sharing!

Regarding the heavy clothing: It's not the same, but putting on nice(r) pants instead of sweatpants, or put on shoes if you work from home or just some small changes that make you feel like you're at an office instead of home, can make such an improvement (at least for me). Just like brushing your hair, put on some make up, washing your face or simply anything that makes you feel like you didn't just fall out of bed, can create such a shift! Also, the visually pleasing point you made is so relateable. As someone with ADHD, all this makes such a difference to me.

I went back into society working with people in physical value... because staring at my phone and computer made me overly stimulated.. never knowing what I want to do...or wanting to do it ALL ..which is not a practical thing. There are so many options in life and our minds crave all of these experiences but we really need to focus on a few.. a few.. This is reality.. we need to accept it..move on or procrastinate our lives away. We can heal ourselves with desire..

Believe it or not, all of the traits of this condition are identical with a developmental phase in normal brain development. Discipline really is the answer, because there only alternative is to drift in possibilities. One mustn't expect it to be rewarding, one must recognize if it is necessary and simply do it. Simply, do, it. There is no other way. For example, if you know you "should" stretch, but you don't, you will always find other things to do. But if you don't like being on a strict schedule (and is one always necessary anyway?), then you might try simply doing it whenever you think about it. Later, you can do it within some period of time after you think about it. Later you can do it another time, but you will remember that you thought about it but didn't do it. Later you will think about it in a new way, in a way; that you have trained your brain to understand is a sort of "excuse" to do it: because you thought about it (and perhaps with the proviso that you hadn't done it that day or recently). Later, you find yourself doing several times a day, whereas for years you wouldn't even get yourself to do it once.
