RUROC ATLAS - Unbiased review

I think Ruroc started off as a snow-boarding crew and they do have some great looking helmets. Only problem I have with them is the lack of transparency from a safety standard. UK uses the government SHARP rating system to gauge the level of protection you get from major brands of MC helmets and there isn't a single Ruroc on the list. I believe the company would need to submit their helmets for testing and it strikes me odd a UK based company wouldn't submit their products to the SHARP folk. Most likely safe enough, they meet euro-standards of course, but no Sharp no buy in my book. Shame =( Love their designs

In deed that's true, they still make snow helmets, and they look great. As far as the safety standards are concerned they are both DOT and ECE rated, and feel good to wear, nothing squeeky or rattly like ls2

When its ok to ride it on 2 continents why wouldnt it be ok to ride it in UK? Also it's extremely expensive to test for Sharp , Its very high price for small % of people who are die-hards for Sharp rating.

@@Rilysii same here! Well, they just announced 2.0 for end of February, from what they've shown, the vents are sorted, visor mechanism, it's Pinlock ready, and looks just as dope, so let's see!
