@Toukleth It is a real style of swordplay, but a very rare one that died out quite awhile back. They warped it when they made Kenshin, unlike Kenpo. Hiten Mitsurugi is the art of speed contracted alongside the ability to judge your opponants actions.

I cried a lot of times during this series both the Anime and Manga and I cried in the last chapter of Rurouni Kenshin Tsiokuhen and also Rurouni Kenshin Seishounen it was just sooooo sad I felt my eyeballs would just dissolve in tears What Im talking about is Kenshin's past ofcourse how he could endure surviving after killing his own wife even if by accident

Yeah, it starts good enough even though it has like 30 episodes of pure filler. Then it gets to Shishio and that part alone makes it simply unforgetable. After that it just starts falling apart.

i see. that gave me an idea. i quite miss the original show i used to watch. i mean the old (english) dubbing. im hunting all episodes of RK here in YT, and it really sounds different to me. except for kenshin's (Richard Hayworth) which i believe is the original (english) voice actor. i so love this anime, i can't get over it even after all these years. thanks for the info!

This song remind me Seijuro suddenly appearing and defending Yahiko from the sword attack of Fuji... After Kenshin, surely Seijuro is the strongest character in this serie.

@Toukleth Yes the original anime style is not real but it Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu is a form of Battou-jutsu and most of the moves used are real . Ofcourse you cant go all like jumping like that cause that is the anime side of the technique , but some moves realy exist and are succesfully used in KenDo.
