Awesome stuff man. Decided to refresh AOE4 and try out Rus only for ranked this season. Hopefully I can finally become a Conq like all my friends lol. I knew the old system vaguely but needed to see new content with the new bounty system. The way you articulate everything is super helpful and makes it really easy for me to understand. I had a couple questions about hunting cabins 1. since you aren't going early scout is the hunting cabin still worth it 2. I wonder if it could be better if you are going to build it for the gold trickle alone, do you think it could be worth building it further maybe on a deer pack or on a richer tree grove. 3. a generall question about them, do you think it is worth building hcs on trees later once you are t2 or t3 bounty. I rarely see pros talk about when to do that.

It's worth building early hc since you get a gold trickle right from the start and the option to build scouts if you DO wanna go pro scout to deny food, building it further away delays feudal a bit with in this agressive case is a big no no, if you have the wood for it it might be worth doing later but in this all in case it's irrelevant since you want to use all your res to attack, not to get a gold trickle you profit from later on.

Awesome video! The only problem I struggle with is that I can't do well playing knights + archers to micro them vs spears. I lack something to use their potential. MAA for example are just more yolo, not really needed micro, try harding because until xbows they don't really have counter like knights.

Well, I can’t say much more than watch pros, practice it yourself and get a good hotkey setup that allows you to micro

@@Valdemar1902 Thank you for your response. What is an advantage of knights vs maa? They must have something worth this micro, easier counters, etc. Mobility for sure but in town vs many spears seems it doesn't matter much.

@@michal4736 I mean, no units do particularily well against their hard counters. Knights are a sort of soft counter to maa in the sense that they have a higher base damage and micro ability scales better with knights whereas maa are just another a-move unit.

Hey Valdemar, very much enjoy your guides. What is your personal opinion on the Rus now and looking back over the timeline of Aoe4 and do you think it has been a complete nerf and they are less good or is it a balanced rework? My opinion is Rus has gotten a lot worse since i began over half a year ago. But i am not a very high leveled player. Thank you in advance.

Opponent had horsemen spearmen composition, and when you play hook pull tactic, you prioritise mass archer. Therefore u let go of producing knights after 3-7 knights and add spears when full producing archer
