Seriously. When it gets to the part where the words are baked into the note placement, I was like "okay, haha, funny gimmick but it sounds dumb and ruins the actual good song" and then it suddenly gets even better and becomes this sweeping back and forth almost like a marching sound. So cool.

Ion Miu on cimbalom -- /watch?v=NNZbyX3YlrQ Art Tatum -- any version of 'Tiger Rag', though I prefer the 1935 recording. Art Tatum's 1934-B recording of 'Liza' is great too. I can only wonder if Art Tatum was the underlying inspiration (if subconsciously) of many of these 'impossible' pieces, since that was about the only way anyone was going to surpass his considerable technique.
