Jack Secret passed my brother and I backstage passes outside the Brussels Foret National arena for the moving pictures tour. Incredible for my younger brother to meet his favorite band. A few years later my brother died of CF so the Rush experience (thanks to Jack Secret) left a young boy w/ great memories.

Just when you think you've seen all the videos of your favorite childhood band, this obscure one pops up. Great great stuff. 👍

I witnessed the guitar throwing thing a few times back in the day. I remember telling people about how amazing it was. It did happen so fast, I never knew it was two people doing it I always thought it was one guy. Just amazing.

I also saw Alex break a string at the Hartford Civic Center on the Exit Stage Left tour. I was fourth row on the floor and it was quite a site to see the guitar flying in the air while the replacement was already in his hand...

Saw the kick drum head break at a show in Newark, New Jersey. They had to stop while a changeover was made and then start up again. Recall Geddy saying before the intermission break that there were “lots of gremlins tonight.” Rush came back after the intermission and put on a flawless display.

That’s cool. 🤘🏼 I saw them in San Diego back in the day and the power went out on stage. They ended up doing a song 1 1/2 times.

Dafuq bass is that @ 5:20??

Haha! That’s his Teardrop bass. It started life as a ‘68 Precision Bass and in 1975ish, he had it converted. From Geddy Lee’s Big Beautiful Book Of Bass: “I was really into the big, twangy sound of my RICs at the time, and felt the P-Bass needed some livening up, so we added a Jazz pickup near the bridge to see if it would improve the top end. Then, rather than refinish it in a traditional way, I was seized by a mad desire to turn it into a teardrop shape. Skip brought it to a great luthier outside of Detroit, where they both lived, who not only took the teardrop concept to a new extreme with the pickguard, headstock, and fret inlays, but to top it all off, painted it like a California dune buggy, which shocked the hell out of me when I opened the case. It’s a loud and wild-sounding beast, perhaps a little too wild, so I used to save it for the last song of the night, “In the Mood” during the late 1970s.”

Is it true Alex got smacked in the nose after he threw his guitar in the air during a gig at the Cow Palace, San Francisco. 1979 I think...

I love all 3 parts... Very insightful... But... I see u have vintage Rush photos that r flashing up on the screen... I was just wondering where u got these photos... ???

The Internet is a beautiful thing! 😂 Seriously though, I tried to use photos you wouldn’t see often, but some (like the one of Geddy standing in front of his synths with his cream colored double neck) are iconic so I had to use them. Glad you liked them!

Hi Donald. Thank you for your reply. My Rush related videos are not 9 years old, so I am not sure why you are seeking compensation from me for these past 9 years. None of my content is monetized, by the way. That being said, I would be happy to give you or anyone who owns any photo in a video I use credit in the video or even create a contract for said photo. Which photo is yours? Please let me know the time stamp so I can annotate it in the video or if you prefer, black out the screen for that time that the photo is displayed.

@@twocargar hi...i was judging by what i read... The interviews were done in 2012... Ok ... Here is my point... U nade the video...regardless if when... And u used my photo without permission... We could have easily come to a mutual agreement... But u ignored the fact that it is my work... And it belongs to me... Which... As whenever u take something that does not belong to u... Is theft... Any way u slice it... I don't want to cause undo stress ... And im not a fan of negative energy... So what can we do here... Firstly... When was the video published... ??? Secondly... How do we rectify this ...ill call it an oversight...??? Although im sure it was calculated... Im not out to bankrupt anyone's budget... But i need some sort of restitution...

Oh ok, I’m in Vegas. I asked you about powering your organ pedals In your other video. I know tony and he repairs my amps and keyboards but he doesn’t really have time to look at my pedals. Funny thing, I met him not long after I listened to these interviews while experimenting with organ pedals.
