You can officially say that you have been in a Perception Dancer though, at your tender age, you won't have had the misfortune to have actually had to paddle one for any length of time! Great music, great vid, keep it up Rush - and I look forward to the next movie. Off to paddle Lee Valley tomorrow...

One of the most phenomenal videos I've ever seen, and that tune, holy shit this was well put together. I actually met him, had no idea who I was speaking too, except that he was a kayaker. Wish I would have known what a legend of the sport he is. I could have asked if his bowling balls are really made of titanium, and how he stays afloat!

A while back, maybe ten or so years ago, an expert kayaker who had grown up with the sport, was one of the safety boats on a commercial raft trip down Section IV of the Chatooga, at extremely low water - about 1.1 at the US 76 bridge. He didn't have much to do; the Vs become IIs & IIIs. He was playing in an innocuous spot, flipped & wrapped around a rock. His hand was visible above the water but it took over an hour to free the kayak and recover his body. That's when Rush is at risk.

Would they not break their neck or ribs from the impact after ride from a waterfall?
@SteepVisions10 жыл бұрын
Typical injuries include the back, not ribs It can happen on a bad landing under strong and sudden g forces.
@dawsonreynier20289 жыл бұрын
Leon Zhang Typically those kind of injuries occur from landing flat off of big drops. The move is called a "boof," which is lifting your knees at the same time as taking a stroke, which lifts the front of your boat and making you land flat. Helpful for small drops under 40 feet. Anything over that has serious risk. Hope that helps!

Question for movie people : How were the clips of the river made, where the water level drops in what seems like "time lapse" style. the banks of the river stay Exactly the same in both the High and Low water level in the clips. i wonder if the low level is the original clip, and the high water is masked from another clip and placed over? it doesnt quite look like time lapse to me.
