I listened to the Hemispheres album for the first time in 1982. Since then, from time to time, I feel the need to listen to it again. Personally, he always gives me energy, peace, emotion and much more... RIP Neil, long live RUSH!

Twenty years ago a girlfriend of mine wrote on a paper the words of this song and only today I heard it. I still have the paper and looked for the words in the google. She was from Cuba and we had only a week romance, but I may say that will always be "our song".

Last night I listened many times to this song and "the garden" by Rush and how these songs and the lyrics are beautiful and that Neil is no longer here but I felt something "in the air" that was going wrong ...I tried to understand but then I said to myself: “forget it”. Today, this afternoon, my cell phone rang .. I saw the number but I don't know why I immediately thought of something negative .. a friend of mine died of a heart attack yesterday .. it was a blow to my heart .. but I know I have to keep on walking. So today I listened to “Keep on Walking” by Gino Vannelli (my friend had the same name) and “the Sphere” by Rush.. I was (and I am) totally in tears.. Goodbye my friend, thank you for everything!

I really appreciate the comment and I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm very grateful that we had, and still have, bands and artists that can also communicate with music so clearly. Neil Peart was a great drummer but he also had a very good ability to go straight to the heart of the matter with his lyrics. Let us remember all these good people that are no longer with us. I appreciate that you were around and shared your words or your music with us.
@davexxx51754 жыл бұрын
@@Vimana - Thank you very much for your words from the bottom of my heart! 💚 Sharing these emotions of mine was a natural thing for me just to tell to everyone how music and words can "enter" into us… even helping us.... Yes, I'm also grateful that we had and have artists that comuncate emotions with their music and lyrics straight to the heart of all of us. About Neil I can say he was a great drummer, I always loved (and love) his lyrics and, for sure, he was a humble person. Thank you again Vimana.

Way back when, maybe like 2008ish, there used to be a particular cover of this song on KZbin. A guy playing it on his guitar and singing. I think about it a lot...I'd give anything to find it again for nostalgia, but alas. So many amazing song covers over the years that aren't here anymore for whatever reason.

You have to be smart to be a Rush fan....Neil's lyrics were sometimes difficult to understand ... And at the same time...made a gear deal of sense...the drumming of corse is phenomenal as is the rest of the band Both Geddy and Alex extremely good musicians with great attention to the slightest detail... I wish them well....and there will be NO replacing Neil .... Thanks for the soundtrack of our lives fellows.....

@ChevKen It wasn't a single. It's a nice idea for a single though. Rivendell, Panacea, Tears, Madrigal and this at the end would make an excellent Rush-single or an EP. This side of the band is often overlooked. In my eyes these songs are classics. There are some real hidden gems on the Rush catalog.
