Jason D that’s way off I guarantee at least half those miles are freeway where he was Getting more like 27 Mpg. Which comes out to be more like 7-8 thousand for the amount of mileage on the car. He obviously don’t know to much about oil changes if he’s running full synthetic no way he should change oil after only 3K miles !!!
@RK-ci9nn
@RK-ci9nn 4 жыл бұрын
@@Vsquad-69 if you didn't run your vehicle like a race car id definitely say not to change your oil using synthetic every 3k miles. I drive an 04 Tahoe and while she's no race car I do run her hard, and I change my oil (non synthetic, just standard oil from Walmart) less than 3,000 miles usually, though I do lots of city driving and I typically ride the throttle everywhere else. Changing oil is one of the best ways to make a car last, and if this guy has his hellcat at 50k miles and drives as hard as he does, he's definitely doing something right

If you all are curious about it, I have about 96k miles on my Charger Hellcat 2015. I daily drove it until recently and did many road trips and drove it just for the pure fun of it ALL the damn time. I had the supercharger failure issue about 40k miles in and had to replace the fuel rails, but other than that, no real problems. I think I pretty much have the same mods as this guy, CAI, mid muffler delete, pulley swap, 180-tstat and 93 octane tune. It dynoed at 694 to the wheels. They built an amazing car and I still drive it a little more than I should but can't help it as its so much more fun than my Maxima as a daily. I just know it can't take the toll I been putting on it forever. Probably will hit 100k late this year or early next year.

I’ve owned a scatpack and now a hellcat, both autos. Besides the Hellcat itself costing more, the cost of ownership has been about the same in my experience. No mechanical issues with either. Hellcat averages 2 mpg less than the SP on same commute and driving habits. I have fun with my cars but don’t run them like these guys regularly. Insurance about the same as well. The hellcat is way more fun and satisfying to drive in every way imo. I bought my 16’ HC with 3k miles and certified for $50k a year ago.

Remember the days when your car would "pop" and you'd slink down in your seat in embarrassment and get it to a shop quick to be tuned? Now they call that a "burble tune", do it on purpose, and wonder why their power and fuel economy are down! I bought a used Z06 for track use and the previous owner had tuned it for big pops. I got it on the dyno, got rid of them, and the car runs waaaay more smooth. As an added bonus it gained 28whp (torque went up about 16) and the gas mileage is even better. SMH. Stay safe everyone.

Hate to defend this car, but people talking about what he's already replaced needs to understand that ANY car whether you build it or buy it at this level of performance is going to be this way. You will drink that much gas, you will go through tires/brakes that often and you have random things come up like over boosting and replacing the supercharger. I'm a mechanic, I've built a number of cars and if you want a 700+hp car, really anything over around 400 depending on the vehicle, this is the case. The car is doing fine, we'll see how they are after 100k but it takes balls to produce and warranty a car like this so good on Dodge.

My stock auto Hellcat averages 13mpg, I enjoy my cat but don't abuse. The only issue Ive had was a right fuel rail sensor failed, which the powertrain did not cover. Stock power feels pleny strong and satisfying 1st-4th imo but needs a drag radial to properly put the power down. I dont spend nearly as much as this guy, as I'm still on the original factory tires, brake pads. I also have a tesla 3PD so only drive the hellcat a couple times a week. Actually besides the worse fuel economy my Hellcat has cost about the same as my prior scatpack. The insurance is about the same and the overal cost between the scat and hellcat has been similar. I bought the scatpack new and the Hellcat slightly used at a similar cost. Ive had my hellcat almost 2 years.A lightly used Hellcat can be had for around 45-50k and is one on of the best bangs for the buck out there currently imo. Big power can be added reliably for little cost as well. If you dont have to have a manual, defintely go with the charger HC.

It's not fair for you guys to keep comparing Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and the likes with Dodge Challenger Hellcat or any of those high performance vehicles. The idea, mindset and the technology and investments behind building these high energy cars is absolutely different from those of the Civics and Corollas. These cars do not drive as fast, burn rubbers, command respects, not high performance driving oriented and definitely do not put a big smile or grin on your face like Scatpack and Hellcats. Nobody looks forward to driving a Civic or Corolla on their weekends or vacation days if they have a choice and definitely nobody gets as much excited driving a Civic or Corolla. That being said; fun, excitements and performance come at higher prices. Just enjoy your lives if you can afford one of those Dodge cars. Beautiful video. Valuable content. Thanks Rush. God Bless you.

I drive at least 80 miles a day to and from work. Only downside I get is everyone freaking out about the V6 engine. I'll tell you though... I rarely have any problems passing people and so many people give me enthusiastic looks when they see it. 90K miles right now and no major problems (knock on wood). It takes regular 87 octane as well. A lot better on the wallet... not to mention insurance.

my friends have challengers (of course I'm the odd man out with the silver fighter jet looking 02 camaro) They complain about things like the windows not shutting.. If anyone doesn't know when you open the door on a challenger the window opens slightly automatically then closes again when you shut the door, their doors don't work right anymore so the windows stay open just enough to whistle and give wind noise over 50mph.. one of the challengers blew its engine about 20k miles, HOWEVER Chrysler replaced it for free.. all fine now, no issues. I love to have a hellcat because I'm used to the wind noise with the camaro, but god dam 5-10 mpg lol.. the Camaro gets 30mpg til you put your foot in it plus I believe has a 16 gallon tank like the challengers, so the range on the challenger must be pull in every gas station idk.
