VoB is still one of my favorites and holds up well even after all these years.

RIP Tony. Play Deep really helped shape the mid '80s sound/vibe. I think of hearing those songs on the radio as a kid with not a care in the world. A great record at the right time! BTW, $200 back then is almost choice (C) in today's dollars. Not too bad for showing up to do some fuckin' finger painting. Nice job Ant.

Thanks for the comment Chad. From what I understand, that video shoot took all day and night. The final shot of her walking out onto the street was the sun coming up, not going down.

I have disagreement with your comment about the Beatles musicianship. George was a very good guitarist. And, Paul was pretty darn good on the bass. Also, their vocals were great. I must be a little of the demo, but I don't remember the Outfield. However, I am sad to hear that two of their members passed away at relatively young ages. Keep em coming man love your videos.

Hey Jeffrey, thanks for your comment! I see what you're saying and agree that Paul and George were very good at their instruments. The point I was making (and probably could have said better) was that the sum is greater than the individual parts. While the Beatles are highly regarded obviously, you rarely see John, Paul, George or Ringo getting accolades for their instruments or making Top 10 lists. If anything, it's their collective songwriting and innovation that gets the spotlight. I think Paul is the most likely to make a list for his bass playing.

Thanks so much! I thought "Times Like These" was a great passionate performance, always liked that song. The new one doesn't do much for me, although I prefer their live version better than the studio. However, I do appreciate them stretching out into different territory so looking forward to the upcoming album. How about you??

@@RushTrader Totally agree on everything you said! Times Like These made my arms tingle! Shame Shame was kind of boring, but it was nice to see a different version of Dave. It was just so classic to have them on! Made me believe good things, even in these crummy times are still reachable. I thought all the guys looked good and healthy, especially Pat. (He always just looks so contently happy). Again, it was great hearing your personal experience when you interviewed the Outfield.

@@amysmith2265 Funny you mention Pat, I too noticed how he appeared much slimmer than recent times and yes, always full o smiles. Something else I noticed... Dave sang with gum in his mouth! Of course, I had to look it up and sure enough he sings with gum to keep his mouth lubed. Learn something new every day... sings AND chews gum at the same time? What a talent! Glad you enjoyed the video btw, I appreciate you, thanks so much!
