𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
☕️ Wheat flour - 2 cups
☕️ Instant yeast - 1.5 tsp
☕️ Desi khand - 3 tbsp
☕️ Milk - 1 cup
☕️ Butter - 1/4 cup
☕️ Salt - 1/4 tsp
☕️ Coconut milk powder - 1/4 cup
𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝
👩🏻🍳 In a bowl, combine instant yeast, desi khand (3 tbsp), and warm milk. Let it rest for 10 minutes under a towel.
👩🏻🍳 Add room temperature butter to the mixture, followed by wheat flour, coconut milk powder. Add more desi khand if you want the rusk sweet.
👩🏻🍳 Knead the dough until gluten forms and cover it to rest for 2 hours.
👩🏻🍳 Divide the dough into portions, shape them into loaves, brush with milk and cover. Let them rise for 20 minutes.
👩🏻🍳 Bake at 180°C for 25 minutes until golden brown.
👩🏻🍳 Brush the baked loaves with milk for a soft outer layer. Let them cool, then slice.
👩🏻🍳 Place the slices on a baking tray and bake at 150°C for 15-20 minutes.
