I really do like her voice and style. She is strong in personality and performance. I remembered seeing her on a Russian show, Star Factory, at a Belo-Russian friend's house and after that I was hooked.

Afther hearing other versions.. this one is so much better, there is a compilation of Ruslana with other Ukrainian singers with this song. She's already trying to sing this version among the other singers. This version is just amazing.. the power lays in not wanting to outscream something,, but in simplicity and a good basic melody and power in exactly the right moments. Just amazing talent because it's not her original song. I have some of her Ukrainian cd's (hard to get by) but this song is only on a cd with many songs I dont like for as far as I know. :(

Me too! I understand Russian and Polish, so the Ukranian language is very close. My maternal grandmother was from Lublin, near the Ukranian border. Greetings from USA.

Sorry KBITKA, I am totally in error. I keep thinking that the two are related. But, that's like saying Canadians and U.S. are the same. We are not. BTW. I'm Canadian. And I'm Polish and Orthodox. I understand some Russian and Ukrainian and those that I speak with who are Russian and Ukrainian accept me as close to them. A Ukrainian woman talk the children this peisenka at my church. When I heard it...I remembered Ruslana's song,in this video.
