We bought this model about six months ago - and have never used our oven ever since except once for a large quantity of pizza for a party. This airfryer is the absolute best in my mind.

My main concern with air fryers is the fat jamming the mobile parts, mainly the fan but in this case also the top grill. Can the top grill (built-in in the lid) in this air fryer be cleaned up easily? I am researching for a durable air fryer, my Tower air fryer left me down after few months

Yes I understand your concern. The top fan does not appear removeable but I have had no problems keeping it clean simply by wiping it with a paper towel so far.

I have one of those and I'm not happy with the air fryer option, my previous air fryer from Costco was so much better, but unfortunately smaller, hence I bought Russel Hobbs. What I don't like about it is that the bottom gets too hot but top doesn't brown as much.

Hello, you mentioned in the video that you cycled the product on airfry 5 times to get rid of the plastic smell, could you tell me how the smell was at first and how is it now? Is it completely gone? I have returned 3 airfryers because of that awful smell, just can't seem to find a decent one that doesn't have such a smell.

The smell was not significant - just the slight smell of plastic and aluminium which you typically get from a newly manufactured product like this and I think 5 times was probably overkill, but not the slightest whiff after doing this, so worked for me.

I would say that the food smell is about the same as you would get from an oven as there is no air filter built in

For me the answer is yes. It not only does the quick airfryer thing, but also means I can use it as a mini oven, grill and electric frying pan which is super easy to use and also saves a bit of money compared to the big electric oven in the house.
