Bench was touch and go and the last two squat attempts were ridiculously high. I had to squat far below parallel. Might as well try this as well and get 10kg more on the bar.

I have heard so many times that going down quickly in squat is not good as it increases the load on knees much more but it's so strange so many PL's do it without trouble!

its not good for the knees, but it gives you that momentum to lift more. they only do it at meets probably, not in day to day training.

His squat is amazing and so is his deadlift but his biggest weakness is his bench which sets him back quite a lot. If he improved his bench even more next year he’s definitely going to stay on top.

In top weightlifting gyms all over the world elite lifters of this weight would routinely squat 3 times their own bodyweight, high bar position and no powerlifting belt, just a small belt weightlifting style belt. No kneewraps either. Some of the strongest weightlifters would hit 3.5 times bodyweight. Not many would bench like this guy though. But their squats and deads are phenomenal
