However, we are grateful and fond of Russel Crowe because he comes to visit us as a genuine person and not as a star. He is not the eighth king of Rome but a fellow countryman: I think it is a better recognition.

I think he's an actor who tends to make even mediocre movies seem good. So yeah, in that sense. He has a habit of elevating whatever he's in. That's what star power is like; Tom Cruise is similar. Spot on. He knows that if Ridley Scott has gone back to it then it's likely to be a blockbuster because Scott has turned down multiple offers to direct a sequel over the last 20 years because the script wasn't good enough and didn't want to besmirch the original.
