Yeah in “Sea of Love” when the anglerfish attacks him, Russell only has one eye. Plus in fan art I’ve seen of him with his eyepatch off, his eyelid is stitched shut with a scar over it.

What would they do? He’s already missing an eye and according to something I read, you have no depth perception with just one eye. That’s why he can’t see things clearly normally. That eyepatch isn’t just for decoration. Glasses wouldn’t help with his depth perception problem.
