I have selective mutism so rarely spoke when I went to the doctors and my mum would inevitably bring something up that she thought was an issue but I knew was nothing to worry about and I would just end up frantically staring at her trying to get her to shut up but being unable to do anything. And she would always make it seem like something I was worried about too.
