I've been coming back to this in a few segments, what an absolute treasure. I think I was smiling the whole time, no wonder why Russel is able to captivate any one who hears his music. Thanks for posting this Alicyn!

I remember the first time I met Aliicyn. She was a young woman playing outside a coffee house with a friend of here in Sacramento. I was so impressed by her. She played with some other seasoned guys here on some gigs and watched her grow .Then she left for New York and so many of us in Sac are so proud of her.

Russell is my favorite. Great interview. I've watched a lot of interviews with him but there was a ton of stuff in here I'd never heard before. I met him briefly after a concert he played with Benny Green and he seems like such a genuinely nice human being. Thanks for sharing this!
