I wished the program host would have given a plug to RM's Council, so some of the normal incoming funds would be allocated to him and his work. Instead, did she say that the last funds to be cut should be from libraries??? IMO, Native Americans always seem to be the first to be overlooked in terms of funding, or support, and receive small benefits, disproportionate to their needs which is great: Economic opportunities, education, mental health, access to water which is essential to life...and these libraries were built on lands taken from the Native Americans. Natives and indigenous peoples have given in good-will. Their livelihoods, ways of being, and well-being have been compromised as a result of broken treaties, and other corruption. I hope and pray that we all have a better understanding of minority groups, and the current and future impact of working together as One.🌍🙏💖

Freedom. And that simple answer. I knew it also. Even my own parents think that “freedom” is a dream. That’s how corrupt and brainwashed they are. My mom told me she was one of those Cree people that was mad because she didn’t know who she was or what she was growing up. Therefore raise us English. When she knows out language. I do not live in the US, so it is unfair to say too much, but it sounds as though there is a lot of prejudice towards the native peoples, although a minority idolise them I think, which is not surprising, for most western people follow the rules and principles of capitalism and greed, and so as Mr Means pointed out, they gladly do compromise, which is another term for suggesting that you give them all your piece of cake, or else. So they do not really have principles, as in the higher virtues, apart from a few, who will then naturally admire those who purvey inner qualities that they inspire to. Thus, they are inspired and given hope, by a minority people who had their culture, land, and spiritual beliefs taken away from them in an extraordinarily cruel way, yet many never yielded on an inward level. I know for I was there, in the wheel of reincarnation, and look forward to the return of the lands to its former, and rightful owners, such as the Oglala Sioux, and their courageous warriors. A big question mark popped up in my mind when Mr. Means said he has 13 children!! After the. comments from him regarding forced sterilization of Native women in what year....1976?... I know it happened in the 1930's and throughout this occupation of " colonial government". How did he manage to have so many offspring? My family are non reservation Native American and sorely lacking in fruitage and multiplication of the family. We have the name Means in our family as a second husband of my great grandmother. One child per marriage seems to be the quota with us. And that's lucky!
