I'm a lakers fan but I love what Russell has done for the city of okc, wholeheartedly, he didn't just bail away, he did not do big super team, he is just playing his game like what Allen iverson did for Philadelphia. Sometimes, you don't need a champion ring to prove a player's heart to play this game. Nobody is flawless. Well deserve, Russell. GOAT video btw.

Eh. Agreed he is a legend in OKC, however he is prob responsible for driving KD away. However his legacy will always be somewhat tainted. Him choking in the 2014 WCF, sort of choking in 2011 WCF, and ofc chokes in 2018 and 19 first round. Even with Pg13 he messed things up. Played with 2 bonafide superstars (KD, PG13) a future superstar in Harden, a future star in Oladipo, and a defensive monster in Ibaka. Yet drew them all out. Russ and OKC management is to blame for their future dynasty collapsing.

OKC have always been a franchise I've had a bit of a soft spot for. I loved that Russ-Harden-KD-Ibaka-Perk team maybe a little more than I should have and I really wish some things had gone differently. If they'd have paid Harden a max, we could be in year 7 or 8 of one of the biggest powerhouse dynasties basketball has ever had. It's funny how a few key points can change things so much. I would have loved to have Russ on the Heat as well if we wanted to trade some of our younger assets for him, but I don't begrudge him going to Houston and a small part of me wants him & Harden to win a title together, I think 1 ring for them playing together would level out with the rings KD got in Golden State and with Ibaka having just won one and Perkins already having won one with Boston in 08, it'd almost be poetic justice seeing them win together.
