I totally agree. It's just because he doesn't pass every possession on a garbage team, he's a ballhog. Just because KD doesn't get to shoot every possession, he's considered a ballhog. He's one of the best scorers in the league and he has to do what he does to win.

There were like 5 times in the last 1 min that westbrook makes unbelievable Plays that steal with 10 sec to go and basket, that is where westbrook excelles he managed to do what he wants, not what the defanse gives him west is really a mini lebron Lol with more quickness a 6'3" 195 lbs pg is rebouding better than 6'8" 250 lbs lebron this postseason, embarasing let me give you numbers 27 ppg 7.3 rpg 8.1 aps 2.2 steals per game i forsee a season for the ages from this duo 2014-2015 will be 1 to be remembered 100 %

Russell Westbrook is HANDS DOWN the best PG in the league. He plays intense D, passes well, rebounds, finishes at the rim, great pull up jumper, and has insane athleticism. There is no competition here. He completely took over OKC in the playoffs this year showing why it's his team.

Stats are overrated..Seriously Russell is the best point guard in the league. Why its simple basketball 101. Nobody can guard him in half court or full court. If you dont believe me go watch Russell against Tony Parker and Chris Paul. He killed them, they really couldnt stop him....Everyone has there own opinion, and i can respected Chris Paul being statistically better or Tony parker being a 4x champion but i respect the old school ways of settling who's better...look at when they play each other and who dominates the match-up from the eye test perspective(no stats) its always Russell win or lose

I agree, stats aren't everything. But personally I think Westbrook is the 3rd best PG after CP3 and Rondo. Westbrook plays too out of control at times, and that's why I don't put him as #1. Although if he did play with more control he would easily be the best because he is a great defender and arguably the best rebounding guard in the game.

I completely agree, Russell is the best. I don't fear any other pg giving me 40pts and 10assist(in a playoff game). Russell was also the only player to have 3 plus triple doubles in the playoffs this yr, that says something

People that say, "Stats aren't everything" are hilarious. They'll say the eye test says this or that. But what evidence do you have for him being better or not better than another player? I could just as easily say Kyle Lowry is better than Westbrook. He just has the heart of a champion. He plays fierce and never gives up any games. Is that true because I saw it? And whats the first thing you would go to to say I'm wrong? The stats. He doesn't score as much as Westbrook, right? My point is you can't have it both ways and have your personal eye test determine who is better and who is not, or have your stats confirm your own bias. The only way to truly determine who is better and who is not is the collective stats of the player and achievements.

If stats were everything then Thad Young could've been an all-star last year. 18 pts 6 rebs over 2 steals per. If your team is bad then your going to score a lot of points. If you have good shooters your going to get a lot of assists

Not gonna lie i dont understand how people can think the D rose is better than Westbrook. Westbrook is clearly the better player i understand that D rose may be the better PG but at the end of the day westbrook is more athletic (fact), is a better dunker, and at the end of the day he is simply just the better player so therefore he is the better player even if at the point guard position.

Actually, D-Rose isn't really that better of a PG. If you compare them side-by-side, they're eerily similar. The only big difference is that Westbrook is a WAAAAY better defender.

Westbrook is great but I can't say he's the best pg. He's not the best at anything Shooter - Curry Finishing - Rose/Parker Passing - Rondo/CP3 IQ - Parker Defence - CP3 Clutch - Lillard Speed and Quickness - Wall I just think he has athleticism over everyone but he has to compete with Rose and Wall on that category.
