The Ravens and Chiefs played each other week 1 while the Steelers were cruising to an easy win over the Falcons week 1. Bye weeks are irrelevant as the Chiefs was in week 6, Steelers in week 8, and Ravens in week 14. . . obviously bye week didn't matter for the Chiefs. Excuses need not be made for this Steelers team who underperformed by every metric possible and by everyone's estimation when the Steelers were 10-3. Also, Houston played this same exact schedule. . . guess what? 3 of the 4 teams asked to play that "tough" schedule are still in the playoffs.

Seeing people blame Russ is crazy to me. The play calling on offense was atrocious!!! First down run, second down run, and third down throw the ball and bail us out Russ was terrible! Russ when given the opportunity with time and not the oline collapsing on him, was throwing darts and moving the ball, only giving him the opportunity to throw the ball 29 times a game is terrible decision making, especially with him only throwing the ball 7 times in the first half!!! The same fans will bash Fields the same when the play calling is still as bad. Russ was not the problem conservative play calling and a 1990s playbook was.

The total offense was only 69 yards. As a loyal fan, I have every right to be upset with Wilson's performance and Arthur Smith's offensive calls he made in the first half. Even with the turn around in the 2nd. half. We only scored 14 points. 14 points for 3.5 hours of playing time. Ravens scored through the air and on the ground. We had no TD's by our running backs. The Steelers played lousy on offense and defense for five straight games. A high school football team could have beaten our Steelers. As a Loyal Fan I want to see our whole Coaching staff be fired. Our players are not at fault for those 5 straight losses.

PLEASE BRING RUSSELL WILSON BACK 🙏🏾 Russell Wilson wasn't the problem. The Steelers lack of a strong running game was the problem. The O-line can't run block or pass protect. Arthur Smith running on 1st and 2nd downs became predictable. He was running into 8 man defensive fronts. Steelers defense was not Elite. They were the opposite of Elite. What happened? I don't know. Too many missed tackles. Too many receivers left wide open on 3rd down which allowed teams to convert 3rd downs into 1st downs. But despite that I still say the Steelers are maybe 2 players away from winning a Superbowl. I think Pittsburgh's biggest problems are in their planning and game preparations. And that's coaching. And we need better options at the number 2 receiver position. Pittsburgh needs offensive consistency. Pittsburgh needs to attack teams offensively and defensively. It just felt like Pittsburgh was too mild mannered in the 1st half of games. Too emotionless. Then they played with passion in the 2nd half.

Im 44 yrs old, and I remember yall being a very threatening team to all the NFL for a long time, your issue is also the O-Line, and defense. Your defense interior and LB’s are not up to par either. Plus your OC, and DC needs changing. Our RB (D.Henry) should not be able to run on yall 13 times in a row. After 3, 4 or 5 runs, things become predictable, but no changes were made by your DC, that says something. I mean seriously, read the room here in this interview, Wilson is not upset, or mad at all. He had his big payday, he has a ring, he’s been in the league too long, now he’s just collecting checks for mediocracy type playing. Id use Fields, if I was Tomlin, and I would build around “Him”. Id make Fields train the entire off season with a well known QB training guy, look what Pat Mahomes and Lamar Jackson does, most of their offseason, they train in passing, mechanics, and body form. If not Fields, then get someone young, driven and hungry, but if it were me, Id stick with Fields. I really miss our rivalry, (Ravens vs Steelers), it was always a blood bath, someone always left the game hurt, or limping because we both had legends on the field, hopefully we can get back to that. Pat’s interview was very concerning first of all he’s talking about being better blocking but I seen him miss a lot of crucial blocks at various times of the seasons. Secondly, he’s talking about clinching playoff spot with weeks left to go Why would that ever be discussed out loud that’s not winning football that sounds like complacency to me and that’s exactly what the end of the season looked like a lot. We all gave him a chance here in Pittsburgh , we all accepted him and gave him a fair chance, we wanted him to b THE GUY but I'm sorry ,no matter who the QB is.. being at the helm, he's the one making the decisions to throw the ball, he's the one making the decisions to run the ball , he's the one making all of those decisions, he's nowhere close to the QB's that are doing very well. Fields better start outperforming Russ, then. When the change was made to Russ, we were all like "thank God we have someone with half a brain back there, who cares if he can run". . . now after losing the last 5 to extremely talented teams after running on 12 straight first downs against Cinci or 45 dropped passes in the last 5 weeks or the defense allowing 300 yds rushing on the same play, we're like "start Fields, forget Russ". This is purely an OC/Tomlin problem. Russ is good enough in my mind until proven otherwise and nothing even remotely close to that has been proven. Awful OL play the last 5 weeks, hence RBs struggling just as much as Russ, if not more.

Lets get a few things clear with Russ. If that o-line isn't fixed, we need to move on from Russ and build an offense around Justin Fields. Also, this team need more dynamic players on the offense. Need a dynamic RB (its not Najee nor Warren) and another dynamic WR. The jury is still out on our OC...not sure he can get this offense where they need to be dynamic. Executing better is NOT the problem with this offense. Not enough dynamic players and not good enough on the coaching/playcalling.
