Just like the movie, saving Private Ryan, former coach, Bill Cowher said, and I quote, Bill Cowher to Russell Wilson: “Your leadership your genuineness. Your passion your love for the game. Resonates in this building resonates in this city. Go get number 7.”

Russ is the key to our success since he got the start. Arthur Smith has been calling good games, but Russ has the ability to change the play.

If Steelers offense continues to capitalize with touchdowns after crucial Defensive play making Steelers are gonna win it all
@natetewkesbury3 күн бұрын
*And like I said since July, the Steelers will be a legit contender b/c look at what they did the last few years with that OC Canada and the below average QB play. And they should maybe win it all!! B/c that team has as much talent as any team in the league but the question marks at QB was the reason nobody gave them their due. But truth is the Steelers are loaded and with above average QB play, are prolly going to win the AFC*

They are statisticaly a top 5 defense and offense with russ.
@natetewkesburyКүн бұрын
@@shinski8114 *Exactly. And what's very unusual is that only 3 other teams pass the ball less than Steelers, yet with Russ the Steelers are #1 in "explosive plays" the down-field HomeRuns. Yet they are also #1 in Time of Possession. Again that's rare. Most of the time it's the quick hitting, pass the ball at a high rate type teams that lead in "explosive plays" and those same teams are middle of pack in Time of Possession. I think it jus proves what time of team the Steelers are under Arthur Smith. Gonna be a hard out in Playoffs*
@augustbrante81174 күн бұрын
Coached nailed it! Now, opposing teams have to defend the entire field against the Steelers with Wilson behind center. This is also why Wilson didn't do well in Denver. They only made Defenses defend 20 yards, not the entire field! World of differences!

Matt Canada would call the same 12 plays over and over again, with the jet sweep being called at least 3x's a game.

The steelers have draft picks playing along the o-line in Frazier, McCormick, Jones and Moore Jr
@solohour3 күн бұрын
Just to make a Steelers fan feel even a little better, remember that they've kneeled down at least two or three times at the goal line, which would put them at 30.4 points per game...

Exactly. Last game could have tact on another fg or td.

We didn't have a real OC since 2012. Arthur Smith turned the ship right around. The only thing this team is missing is Smith's old colleague: Mike Munchak.

No one is hating. I just didn't have a warm and fuzzy with how we were arriving with Fields. It's limited.

He is not a starter he struggled on every start and we’re wining with defense when he started now we’re winning with offense
@aceboon46243 күн бұрын
@@Brettmotorcycles Yup! I love the guy personally and rooted for him in college and in Chicago. However, I'm concerned that we've seen his ceiling. I think his challenge is in his head. He's been able to reply on his athleticism all throughout his career. Well, now, he needs to make plays with his arm and I'm not sure he trusts himself to make the "anticipatory" or 50/50 throws that all QBs have to make at some point.
@oronmurphy37243 күн бұрын
He hasn't had the support since being in the nfl until Tomlin. It's twice as hard to reverse the damage done to him then build!🤡🤯😳💯
@slickrick94672 күн бұрын
I am sure he is a good kid however he is not a starting QB. He misses the routine throws. He has three 4th quarter comebacks in going on 4 years. He is also a fumble machine.
@johnvillella10874 күн бұрын
All the steelers need to add in the draft is a WR, a depth Guard and another stud DT to soon replace cam and play along Benton. Sure they can maybe go corner, but they need to add a WR or potentially trade Highsmith for an elite WR.
@josephdonovan91254 күн бұрын
You had me up until trading Highsmith. They not trading him they just paid him the team is 7-0 with him on the field he's the Robin to T.J 's Batman Alex is a great run defender and pass rusher.
@natetewkesbury3 күн бұрын
*Pittsburgh is known as Lineback-U. Everything revolves around the LBs. ZERO chance they trade Highsmith and I would argue that DLine, the DT/DE type is more important in next year's draft than WR. I also think they are more ampt to draft a DT in 1st or 2nd and then take the WR. Remember the Arthur Smith Offense is built thru the TEs and RBs. Just like when AJ Brown went off in Tennessee and he was the only true threat at WR. Same thing with George Pickens. It's b/c of the Arthur Smith scheme and usage of TEs and RBs. And Pittsburgh prolly has the most versatile TE room in all of football*

Same players, except the QB.. Smith may be better, but Russ is the difference. This team is over achieving. The offensive line is a weak point.. They need to run the ball better and the passing game is making it by pin point passing... No one is getting open the way they do for those other great offenses. This will be a challenge if they don't continue to evolve...
