I like Dan most of the time, but he is totally missing that the reason Washington had to gamble on those single wide defenses is because they were adding guys to the box to stop the run. The running game has been stout, you have to support the d-line if you're playing Pittsburgh, and when you do that, you occasionally have to risk having one of your DBs on an island. This is becoming an offense that, at the least, creates very tough matchups. Russ can recognize and exploit when they get a mismatch, which they did on at least two of the three TDs against Washington.

What Dan isnt recognizing is how the Steelers get to dictate to the defense because of their commitment and effectiveness running the football. Thats how they get to take advantage of those coverages once Russ recognizes them. Couple of early mistakes, this could have been a blowout Steelers way.
