What is your quads miles per liter after 3 years?
@user-pq1ni4wz6h5 жыл бұрын
I have one of those that I bought around a month or two ago and it a camouflage wrap. I bought mine here in the Philippines and the units here have a turn signal and the start button is just at the back of the left handle since the ‘orange’ button you have as your ignition is our horn. The quad is really easy to use and it really isn’t meant for kids since the steering is a bit stiff cos of the big wheels. It also does great in terms of fuel consumption and maintenance is very simple as long as you take good care of it. I’m not sure how service is as for other countries but in the Philippines, there’s a home service provider if ever you need to have it fixed or whatever. Pretty fast for a utility quad in my opinion and stability isn’t something to complain about. And as I said, steering is a bit stiff so have some water with you cos you’ll get a bit tired with the handling. Also rattles quite a bit much for my liking but what do you expect from a quad. I believe Linhai is a sister company of Yamaha so do expect a good quad when you buy it. All in all, it’s a really good buy.

@@yaku9095 i usually go around 35 kph on asphalt roads with no problem.. no rattle at all.. it’s a smooth ride to be honest but it’s weight along with the large wheels make it tough to maneuver cos the steering can be a little hard.. the rattle i was talking about was just the vibration you get from the handlebars but after a year of having it, i’ve gotten so used to it..
@user-pq1ni4wz6h3 жыл бұрын
@@yaku9095 it’s a perfect sized quad so i guess the rattle/vibration can be ignored especially when you’re used to handling motorbikes or other quads.. but when it comes to stability, it’s very stable and you’ll feel that you’re very much in control no matter what speed you’re going

Mine failed badly as mentioned in the comments below. But luckily I found a fantastic bike shop, and they replaced the Chinees parts with Japanese. It needed: piston and rings, timing chain and tensioner, timing chain drive sprocket, cam set, cam followers (the cams ate the followers), valves, ignition system and alternator, voltage regulator, yet another ignition switch (on the 4th now couldn't get Japanese), various wiring connections. I know it needed the parts because I took the machine apart myself, but the tools needed were not available so I took it to the shop.

Mine is virtually completely dead now. It did get an engine rebuild under warranty but it only ran for a few weeks before multiple failures occurred. I just fitted a new carburetor, which didn't help. Now I will try new ignition coil and electric regulator. If that doesn't work it will either need a completely new engine or scrapping. Tempted to scrap it instead of throwing good money after bad.

The engine had a warranty rebuild at about 1000 km and now at 1990 km it has totally failed again. I replaced all the electric components, the headlights fell out of their supports. The fuel and vent hoses have perished and split. Now I need to decide whether to bother repairing it or burn it to save any more time and money being wasted. Burning is favorite just now.

The quad broke again but I have a new plan. All the rubber hoses perished and blocked up the carb and other parts. Somehow the fuel tank sprang a leak through two neat tiny holes that had been filled with paint. It’s also miss-firing again. I have got a new Quad from a different manufacturer, still Chinese as that's all that's available. Now one can be in the shop under repair or held in reserve while the other gets used.

If you look at the end of this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3-lnnRjftlrm7s you can see it pulling a trailer with a pretty heavy load and my garden has a steep slope. The quad copes with this without a problem. It is not in the same league as a Honda or Yamaha, but it is much better than the cheaper quads and in my opinion well worth the money. :-)

Avoid these like the plague! I bought one because there were no alternatives where I live. It is a typical piece of Chinees terrible quality trash; it should never have been released to the market. First the ignition key jammed up and no replacements were available, so I had to fit one from another vehicle. The battery lasted two months before I had to put a proper quality one in. Next the transmission went weird, push it into forward or reverse, rev up to go, and nothing happens, rev it some more and 'crash' the transmission engages with a loud bang and physical shock and then the quad shoots off. The only ways to get it not to do that is to either start in neutral and rev the engine until you hear the transmission engage with a loud clunk, then put it forward or reverse and it works. Or as I did in the end, give up and leave it in permanent forward position. I get off and push it backwards when I need to. Then the carburetor wouldn't choke, so fixed that. Then the spark plug failed. It uses so much oil from new that it needs topping up every day. Then it started smoking. The carry racks have gone rusty. One headlight mount has sheared off so the light wobbles about. Now it has stopped completely and waiting to see if it can even be repaired, and if parts are available. Might not be worth wasting money on repairs instead of scrapping. It drinks more petrol than my car per mile. Less than a year old. Not much else left to go wrong. But wait we will see.

Mine needs a complete new power unit. Waiting to see if it is covered by warranty. It was almost OK for 200 km apart from the ignition key and battery failing, and using quite a lot of oil. By 500 km the faults were showing, and it died at about 1000 km.
