On this occasion people said that Italy had won the AA only because of Russia's major mistake...but....ooooops, Italy won also 2010 and 2011's AA gold medals!!! What can they say now???

@@reyhernandez6037 En un documental sobre la gimnasia rítmica en Rusia, Irina Viner mencionó que Maksimova tuvo que dejar el equipo en varias ocasiones porque se desmayaba.

Impresionante que con los fallos que tuvieron quedaran como quedaron. Si otro equipo tiene los mismos fallos, las hunden en la calificación. Los culpables de esta situación son las jueces. las gimnastas se limitan a hacer lo que mejor saben, no tienen culpa de nada.

this year girls r much prettier than beijing 2008 they deserve a medal because the originality and the difficulty of the routine. I mean the 3 hoops , marvelous...

@nechta86 Well sorry but that's not an excuse, on the contrary, one mistake made once in a blue moon could be accepted, but so many mistakes made so many times even in following years and with different gymnasts should bring to attention that Russia has a lot of problems with groups at the moment, and that Italy is now the leader, without any doubt. @nechta86 I agree. I wish Russia had competed without mistakes in 2009, 2010 and 2011 All-Around final. In this way, they would have won (and deservedly!) because they have the most difficult routines. It's a pity they can't perform them without mistakes in important competitions, so I hope they will have a great competition in London! Go, Russia! ♥

I guess competition doesn't necessarily mean wining and taking home the bacon but to learn something from it. Seems that Russian group were always concentrated on perfecting their routines and then, for so much expectations, they are bound to make mistakes. Just enjoy the flight of your performance and you'll do good, not just good but great.

Como ella dijo, es un equipo completamente nuevo, y por tanto son distintas. Nuevas, sin experiencia previa en competencias. Y no es la mejor rutina del equipo ruso. Sin duda no debieron estar en el podio, porque ambas rutinas tuvieron errores más o menos notables. Comparadas con el grupo que participó en Beijing, uf..

@81lavy i can say that Italy won 2010 and 2011 AA because both years Russian group had big mistakes in one or another routine. 2009, 2010 and 2011 groups of Russia have different girls. this year only 3 of them from 2010 group. And only 2 girls Natalia Pichuzhkina and Uliana Donskova compete since 2009.

On the contrary I agree that Italy is the strongest group by now; to be strong is not only to have the very difficult routines by body and elements but also to manage perform from competition to competiton. Russian group and coaches, and Viner they admit that we lost in 3 consequetive years Olympic program which is AA. Russia could have won if they didn't do that big mistakes.

I think that's Zeynab Jibaldi? Another rhythmic gymnast that competes for Azerbaijan but it seems like they were close friends. Seen them in other training videos together also.

@amirul1978x who cares if they are prettier? They don't have as much experience as the bejing 08 team had. I guess in london 2012 they'll be experienced enough,but, by now, they're not the best. Good, yes, beyond other teams, but there're better teams in present.

From 2009 onwards, the Russian choreography are less difficult than the Italian ones. All except the latest 3+2 in 2011, where (perhaps) there is a constant danger of weaving ribbons and hoops, it's just a little more risky the Russian one. But for the rest, the Italian choreographies are not only more risky but also more beautiful from artistic point of view, and also more dynamic, full and complete. Yes, if the Russians do not make mistakes, they win, but this has nothing to do with the sport!

Por qué no se merecían el oro en Rio 2016? Para mi sí, porque les bajaron la calificación a 17 y sentésimas en el ejercicio de cintas con el fallo en la recepción de una de ellas, pero luego remontaron con el ejercicio mixto que era de gran dificultad. No me pareció que las notas fueran injustas, pero la verdad es que no se tanto de notas como me gustaría por ahí estoy equivocada

@@miriamponlatetera4611 el problema está en que cuando Rusia falla no se les penaliza igual que al resto de países. Si llega a ser España o Bulgaria las que cometen ese error las quitan del pódium. Además en el ejercicio de 5 cintas no tuvieron un fallito, tuvieron una caída de cinta, eso conlleva su penalización en ejecución y además invalida el intercambio y más adelante en una colaboración, la cinta no se cayó, pero no se realizó correctamente, por lo que tendría que haber sido tachada y penalizada. Vamos!! que la nota que tuvieron de dificultad la veo algo inflada. Por último, dos gimnastas salieron con el maillot desabrochado lo que hacía que no fueran iguales los 5 maillots porque la forma del cuello ya no se veía, en el código pone que deben ser idénticos, por lo que la penalización de 0,30 por atuendo de gimnasta se podría haber llevado a cabo perfectamente, desde mi punto de vista claro!! Para mí el oro a Rusia fue un regalo, deberían haber quedado terceras como mucho, oro a España y plata Bulgaria.

The Russian win when they don't make mistakes and because they are stronger. Elena Posevina 2 times Olympic Champion said that Italian school had always lack of body difficulty, they never perform body elements as necessary. Artistry is subjective. For me Italy is boring, but that's personal opinion. And to say that Russia win and "it has nothing to do with sport" is just ridiculous.
