Russia closes Polish consulate in Saint Petersburg, expels three diplomats

They said they would. After closing the Russian Consulate in Poznan. No suprise here.

As a Pole living in Poland, I understand what Russia did. This is a response to the closure of the Russian consulate in Poznań and the return of the building to Ukraine. I consider this step exceptionally stupid. Now let our fools from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs think about what hundreds of Poles living in St. Petersburg, deprived of access to consular services, are supposed to do.

They can get Russian citizenship if they like that country enough to live there.

They can return to Poland if they value safety or as said above, become citizens of Russia.

@ But they have families there, they are living there very long, have there bussineses, homes etc etc. In Poland they have nothing. Why they should come back to Poland?
