Extreme weather, from the heat wave in Europe to the early onset of the hurricane season in the Atlantic, is taking energy commodities for a ride as markets recalculate risks to both supply and demand. BloombergNEF sees a possible oversupply by 2030 as more gas projects go online, as its latest report on the global LNG market outlook explains. Russia is also suspected of building a large shadow fleet for gas.
