The reality is if you come as a student, then most of your time will be spent on studying, attendance is compulsory. You can work but it will take away your focus. Also, consider the harsh winters. For roughly 5-6 months you will not be able to manage your health with study and work. The jobs that do not require Russian language is mostly labor jobs - 12 hrs./day. So when will you eat, sleep and study? This uncle in the video and his situation fall within exceptional cases. Focus on his initial situation when he first came to Russia and started working and not his current situation. Please do your own research and think twice before making any decisions. It is a good country for tourism, getting budget education but life here is tough and do not forget the language barrier issues in day to day life 🙂
