Ursa Major was NOT recovering weapons from Syria. It was travelling from St. P to Vald via Suez. As someone who lives on water, sailing everywhere. I find the blatant refusal of assisting a fellow mariner in distress unsettling but saying that a precedence is set. Yep next time I hear 'Pan Pan' I'll first inquire: "What nation do you call home?" followed by "Who did you vote for?"

The claim, the norwegian ship denied help is a false accusation. In fact they were ordered by the spanish coast guard to lay the rescue boat alongside until the coast guard arrives. And this is what they did. It was clam seas and alltogether good weather conditions, so the russian sailors were not in danger. 14 out of the crw of 16 were rescued. No need to blame anyone for this. But it is so easy and feels so right to blame someone.
