Not really pointless, he’s right people will come to expect some kind of a large scale counter offensive that’ll completely push out or destroy the Russian army which just isn’t going to be the case. @@krisjb13 The countries supporting Ukraine are generally democracies. Democratic governments are elected by and care to varying extent about the opinions of their citizens/voters aka. "a bunch of randoms". If people believe in Ukraine's ability to succeed enough = if people aren't too dissapointed at what they see Ukraine achieve, they are more likely to see expensive support as worthwhile which means governments are less likely to be voted out for pouring resources into Ukraine and less likely to stop the later to avoid the former. Also public communication, like that done by Ukrainian officials, is to large extent meant to inform and/or influence "a bunch of randoms". To comment about how that messaging might be intended to work is totally valid comment. Your's on the other hand: What a pointless comment mate.

Important thing to note about the T55, they are being used as amobile howitzer. Russia is running low on the 125mm and 152mm shells but still has lots of 100mm. The only artillery pieces that can launch 100mm are the stationary artillery which are easy targets for counter fire. Although the t 55 will be way more inaccurate they will be losing less equipment due to its ability to fire and run.

The longer the war lasts, the more destabilised both regimes become, both politically and economically. It's hard to assess that fully, as it depends on what their actual reserves are, how much could be repaired, etc. If you add in at times unknown exact numbers of supplied vehicles in at least some types, and parts of it become some what hazy. Thus why Russia's use of older types is being brought up as a sign that they apparently are running low on some of their hardware.

@@RamonWalther Yeah, in fact this current war has so little justification it makes the Nazis seem entirely justified in comparison. The only thing history really has to grasp onto to demonize the Nazis is the holocaust. The War itself was instigated and kept going by a wide variety of factors on all sides. The French almost on their own at the end of WWI basically ensured WW2 was going to happen with the conditions they demanded. Something internationally recognized even with the Germans losing the war. Meanwhile Russia has to straight up lie and make the biggest reaches imaginable to try and justify this war. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for Ukraine and Russia to plan and carry out military operations with the amount of coverage of the war by civilian news outlets. So far, Ukraine seems to have done a better job of confusing the Russians as to its intentions. We will see if it continues to misdirect Russia's responses. The biggest stumbling block to Ukraine being able to, at least, not lose this war, is its civilian morale. How long its people can continue to support the war is anybody's guess. I don't think most Western Countries peoples would have remained in support of a similiar war in their country. Of course, these populations didn't live under Russia's control as did the Ukrainian people. Just a suggestion. HIMAR is pronounced as if it were spelled: HIGHMAR, and TOW missles is pronounced as if spelled: TOE missles. (At least that is how they are pronounced by the American military). Of course these are very minor compared to your very execelent videos. Thank you for your great work in producing all of your videos.

Can't. 2 reasons 1) Simply not enough news in Sudan. 2) Whilst not as clear as black and white, the invasion of Ukraine was as much of good vs. evil as you get. Sudan is hyper confusing as all parties seem to be bad.

Im 29 and I've watched a lot of combat footage from this war - its so surreal, to see the lives of kids younger than me, end in bloody trenches and then see this zoomed out look. I know its the nature of statistics, but its just so weird to see this on a map, and recall watching russian and Ukrainian lads hit the deck after getting shot. Sad sad times.

I think you should have also broken down the number of missiles in the attacks by russia. Because the number declined with each attack from close to 100 to about 50. I think russia is down to production (20 per month) plus what they can buy from Iran at this point.

when you pin and fix an enemy with 100k troops this means that your counteroffensive MUST be directly on either side, or both sides of that. Most people are saying from Zaporizhzhia through Meliltopol towards Kherson joined by forces pushing across the Dnipro... I don't see that as a viable thing. BUT... that is not on either side of the Russian troop concentration. So since Ukraine fixed russians in Bakhmut and Avdivka then the counter offensive, according to all normal rules and strategy in war should be from Vuledar direction in the south towards Donetsk city (likely south of it pushing north of the front lines) and also a second attack from Lyman through Kremina in the northern front pushing south. Or at least thats how I see it... like everyone else I will probably be wrong!

@@buiquanghuy7589 The current military activity can be characterized as a series of exercises aimed at conducting a gun count and identifying the location of enemy artillery, rather than a full-fledged attack. Additionally, the operation serves to gauge the capabilities of the opposing forces and lure them into revealing their air assets. The NATO-trained brigades operate with a certain degree of autonomy, allowing even sergeants to map out the battlefield for their respective squads. These small-scale engagements help to gather valuable intelligence on the enemy's strength, training, and objectives, which is then relayed to the command system. In 2023, advanced armies do not solely rely on human leadership during battles, as they acknowledge the potential for human error. Instead, they use various AI systems to probe for weaknesses before launching major offensives. For instance, the latest system employed by the Pentagon, called AIP, which comprises a range of AI models, including LLMs and Imaging, is likely accessible to Ukrainian forces. The troops currently deployed on the ground are primarily responsible for gathering intelligence, which is being monitored by friendly satellites and other intelligence assets. AIP, the AI system, is designed to ensure that a large-scale attack is only initiated when the outcome is guaranteed. It is getting close to achieving this objective, and within a week, there may be a real counterattack. My estimate is that Ukraine will need between 250k to 400k troops and armor for such an attack. The Ukrainian troops have recently undergone a six-month NATO training program and received ample equipment, including access to the AIP system, which is available to squad leaders. While there is a possibility of my analysis being incorrect, it is unlikely to be the case.

Regardless of where the offensive will take place it more about the state of the ground and the lateness of spring that has occurred. Theres still almost no foliage on the trees and lower ground plants, rain is still falling and ground is still to soft. You couldn't begin to move up the logistics nor the men without the Russians seeing signs of a massive build up behind a front. Once weather improves ground hardens and trees bloom in full, thats when we will see this offensive.

You always want your opponent to think there is a offensive coming 'soon'. To never feel they are completely safe and secure. It's how you break an armies morale. You also want your western supporters, who are safe from the fighting and drinking Mt. Dew while playing armchair general, to believe you have initiative to win the war so they will continue their support. War takes place in many theaters. I never expect anything I hear in public from Ukraine or Russia to be indicative of any actual tactical goal aside from 'we win'.

I imagine Ukraine’s ideal offensive would be to divide the Russian army in two by reaching the Sea of Azov, whether it be Bryansk or melitopol. That is where Russia is expecting the attack, though, so it would certainly not be easy.
