Dumbele is just one among the Rituals of encantation by the igorot tribes of northern Philippines. It signifies the relationship of the community to the Spirit of mother nature wherein after plantation' people perform Dumbele to enchant the Spirit of nature to send Rain in a friendly manner.

Boy Delarmente composed this song??? Oh my goodness, he was my cousin and we grew up together in the same house. I only separated from the family when I got married. I've been in Canada for the past 35 years and lost contact. I didn't know he had become so good. Then we regained contact through YM and messenger chats. I made contact with his sister Lita Delarmente after his funeral. So proud of my "little brother". I remember when my father, his Uncle Turing, was his "father" because Col. Delarmente was in the military service and was always away. My father would "scold" him telling him to stop his musical addiction -- saying MUSIC WILL NOT PAY BILLS. MUSIC WILL NOT PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE. PURO KA KOMBO KOMBO WALA KANG MAKUKUHANG MATINONG ASAWA. Well, Boy married Letty Delarmente a gracious educated fine lady. Rest in peace cousin Boy.. and continue singing with the angels in heaven.
