Erdogan won in Syria while Putin lost in Ukraine. That's the difference between a smart leader who plans out his tactics with other countries compared to one who charges ahead without a plan and gets a lot of his soldiers killed and wastes military resources. Putin should realize his mistake and retreat from Ukraine because losing 1000 troops a day is unsustainable. Eventually either his army will refuse to fight and revolt or the Russian people will turn against him.

These bases have been critical logistics hubs for Russia's military operations, serving as staging points for supplies, personnel, and equipment destined for deployments in Africa and other regions
